Okay, so I wanted to try out this whole “AR beauty” thing. You know, the filters that make you look like a supermodel or a cartoon character or whatever. I figured, why not? It could be fun, right?

First, I had to find some apps. There are tons of them out there, so I just grabbed a few of the popular ones that seemed to have good reviews. I downloaded them onto my phone and opened the first one.
- The app asked for access to my camera, which I guess makes sense.
- Then it showed me a bunch of different filters.
- Some were pretty normal, like ones that just smoothed out your skin or added a little makeup.
I tried a few of those, and they were okay. Nothing too crazy. But then I started messing with the more out-there filters. One made me look like I had huge eyes and a tiny mouth. Another gave me dog ears and a snout. It was kind of hilarious, to be honest.
I spent a good hour just playing around with all the different options. I took some selfies, sent them to my friends, and we all had a good laugh. It was a fun way to kill some time, I guess.
But after a while, it started to feel a little weird. Like, I was looking at myself, but it wasn’t really me. It was this altered, filtered version of me. And I started to wonder, is this what people expect to see when they look at me now? It was a little unsettling, if I’m being honest.
So, I closed the app and put my phone down. I looked in the mirror and just saw me. No filters, no enhancements, just me. And you know what? I think I prefer it that way.
