Alright, let’s talk about these bricks luggage things. I ain’t never used nothin’ so fancy, ya know? My old suitcase was a hand-me-down from my cousin Bessie, and that thing was held together with duct tape and prayers. But these here bricks luggages, they look like somethin’ the rich folks on TV would carry.
First off, they got all sorts of names. Life Tropea, Capri… sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me. But I reckon the names don’t matter much, it’s how they hold up that counts. I heard some of them are pretty light, like six pounds or so. That’s good, ’cause my back ain’t what it used to be. Liftin’ a heavy suitcase is a good way to end up laid up for a week, and nobody got time for that.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I heard tell these luggage things are real stylish. Sleek, they call it. Means they look good, I guess. I seen pictures, and they do look kinda fancy. Shiny and smooth, not like my old beat-up bag. They got different colors too, but I don’t care much about that. Give me a good, sturdy brown or black any day. That’s a color that don’t show the dirt, ya know?
- Durability: This is important. I need somethin’ that can take a beatin’. Suitcases get thrown around on them airplanes, and I ain’t gonna pay good money for somethin’ that’s gonna fall apart after one trip. I heard these bricks luggages are pretty tough, so that’s a good thing.
- Weight: Like I said, my back ain’t gettin’ any younger. I need a suitcase that’s light enough to carry without breakin’ a sweat. Six pounds sounds about right.
- Price: Now, here’s the kicker. I ain’t made of money. These things sound expensive, what with all the fancy names and whatnot. But I reckon if they last a long time, it might be worth it. You get what you pay for, as they say.
I also heard that some big-shot movie stars and even that princess lady, Kate somethin’-or-other, use these bricks luggage. Well, if it’s good enough for them, I reckon it’s good enough for me… maybe. I mean, I ain’t flyin’ to no fancy places like them, but a sturdy suitcase is a sturdy suitcase, no matter where you’re goin’. Goin’ to visit my sister in the next town over is just as important as them goin’ to some foreign country, I say.
They say these luggage are made by some family over in Italy, by a lake. Sounds nice. I always wanted to go to Italy, but I reckon that ain’t gonna happen. Too far, and too expensive. But hey, at least I can have a little piece of Italy with me when I travel, even if it’s just a suitcase. They also say that the price is in the mid-range, so not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. Makes you think a bit, huh? Like, maybe you could treat yourself to somethin’ nice for once.
So, all in all, these bricks luggage things seem pretty fancy. Maybe too fancy for an old lady like me. But if they’re as durable and lightweight as they say, and if I can find one at a decent price, I might just have to get myself one. It would be nice to have a suitcase that doesn’t look like it’s about to fall apart every time I pick it up. And who knows, maybe I’ll even feel a little bit like a movie star when I’m lugging it around. Though I doubt it. I’m too old for that kind of nonsense.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on these here bricks luggages. Take it or leave it. I’m just a simple woman, and I know what I like. And I like things that are sturdy, reliable, and don’t cost an arm and a leg. So, if these suitcases fit the bill, then I might just be a convert. But if they don’t, well, I’ll stick with my old duct-taped bag, thank you very much.
And one more thing, they call it “carry-on”. Carry on what? Carry on luggage of course! Sometimes these city folks just like to make things sound more complicated than they need to be. Call a spade a spade, I say.
