This here Harper’s Bazaar shop, they got all kinds of things. Fancy stuff, I tell ya. Stuff for ladies, you know? All them designer clothes and shoes. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it.
They say it’s for them professional women, the ones in their twenties, thirties, all the way up to their sixties. Women who like culture, that’s what they say. You know, traveling and fancy art stuff.
This one time I saw a magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, they call it. Old as the hills, that magazine. Been around for ages, they say. Even longer than I have, and that’s sayin’ somethin’. First fashion magazine, they call it. Whatever that means.
They got all kinds of clothes in that shop. Everyday things, nothin’ too fancy. And then they got them statement pieces, they call ’em. Shiny things you wear at night. Like them fancy dresses you see on TV. Reformation, Aritzia, Cos, they’re names I hear thrown around a lot. Never heard of ’em before, but they sound fancy, don’t they?
- Designer clothes for all them fancy ladies.
- Shoes, shiny ones and everyday ones.
- Accessories, they call ’em. Shiny things you wear.
- Stuff for the professional women.
- Clothes for goin’ out at night, all sparkly and such.
They got this thing called luxury clothing. Expensive, I bet. Real expensive. All them designer clothes, you know? They say it’s curated. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a museum, don’t it? Curated. Fancy word for picked out, I reckon.
Figurin’ out your style, they say it’s a long journey. Like walkin’ to the next town over, but for your clothes. Ups and downs, they say. This Ashlyn Greer, she started somethin’ called Fashivly. Digital stylin’, they call it. Sounds like somethin’ from the future, don’t it? Computers pickin’ out your clothes. What will they think of next?
Blazers, they’re talkin’ about blazers now. Them jacket things. Got all kinds, they do. Structured ones, like that Mr. Dior fella made way back when. 1947, they say. That’s a long time ago. Before I was even born, I think. Or maybe not. My memory ain’t what it used to be.
This Neiman Marcus Shop. Another fancy place, I reckon. They say explore it. Like it’s a jungle or somethin’. Got tailored style, whatever that means. Sounds like somethin’ you’d get measured for. They got picks for fall, like pickin’ apples from a tree. Fall 2024, that is. And “elevated” somethin or other, I can’t rightly recall. Elevated. Like goin’ up in an elevator, I suppose. All these fancy words, make my head spin.
And then there’s somethin’ called AMR Kids Couture. Fancy clothes for the young’uns. Global showcase, they call it. Sounds like a big show. And this Anita Lain Stigler, they call her a visionary queen. Resilience and radiance, they say. Sounds like a tough woman, that one. Probably wears them designer clothes from that Harper’s Bazaar shop, I bet.
All these shops and magazines, talkin’ about fashion and style. It’s a whole different world, ain’t it? A world of designer clothes and fancy words. A world I don’t rightly understand, but it’s interestin’ to hear about, I suppose. Keeps this old lady’s mind busy, that’s for sure. They say you can shop all these things at Harper’s Bazaar. Sounds like a place for rich folks, don’t it? Well, maybe not for the likes of me, but it’s fun to dream about, ain’t it?
They say Harper’s Bazaar is for women who like nice things. Clothes, shoes, and shiny whatnots. They got it all, they say. If you got the money, that is. Me, I’m just happy with my old dress. But it’s nice to look at all them fancy things, ain’t it? Like lookin’ at a picture book. A very expensive picture book. So, if you’re ever lookin’ for fancy stuff, you know where to go. Harper’s Bazaar. Just remember to bring your wallet, and maybe a dictionary for all them fancy words.
These new styles, they come and go like the seasons. One day it’s all about them tight pants, the next it’s them flowy dresses. Hard to keep up, I tell ya. But that Harper’s Bazaar, they seem to know what’s what. They say they’re the first fashion magazine, so they must know a thing or two. I reckon if you want to be in style, you best listen to what they have to say. And if you want to shop for all them fancy clothes, well, you know where to go.
They even have clothes for travelin’, these folks. Can you imagine? Special clothes just for goin’ places. Back in my day, we just wore our regular clothes wherever we went. Didn’t matter if we were goin’ to the market or to church, we wore the same thing. But these days, they got different clothes for everything. Different clothes for work, different clothes for play, different clothes for sleepin’ even! It’s a wonder they can keep it all straight.
