Alright, alright, let’s talk about that Kate Middleton and her blue dress, yeah? I saw it on the TV, that fancy box in the corner, while I was eatin’ my supper. Lord, that girl’s got more clothes than a whole department store, I tell ya. And this blue one, well, it was somethin’ else.

It was blue, real blue, like the sky on a clear summer day. Not no wishy-washy blue, but a good, strong blue. Made me think of the cornflowers growin’ in my field back in the day. Pretty things, they were. Anyway, this dress, it wasn’t nothin’ fancy like them gowns they wear to the balls, you know, the ones with all the sparkly stuff. This was more… well, more like somethin’ you could wear to church, or maybe to a nice lunch with the ladies, if you was a lady who lunches, which I ain’t.
It had a jacket, too. A matching blue jacket. Smart, that’s what it was. Not like those flimsy things young girls wear these days, showin’ off more than they coverin’ up, if you catch my drift. This jacket, it looked warm, like it could keep out a good chill. And it had buttons, nice shiny buttons, not too big, not too small, just right. You know, the kind that stay buttoned, unlike some I’ve seen.
- The color, like I said, was a real pretty blue.
- It had a jacket, a proper jacket, not one of them shrug things.
- And it looked comfortable, like you could move around in it, not all stiff and tight.
Now, I ain’t no fashion expert, mind you. I get my clothes from the market, whatever’s on sale and fits. But even I could see this dress was somethin’ special. It looked… well, it looked expensive, even though it wasn’t all flashy and covered in jewels. It was just… nice. Real nice. The kind of nice that makes you think the person wearin’ it has got their head screwed on straight.
And that Kate Middleton, she always looks so put together, doesn’t she? Always smilin’, always wavin’. I reckon she’s got a good heart, that one. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they dress, you know. And this blue dress, it told me she’s a classy lady, a proper lady, the kind your grandma would approve of, even if your grandma was as picky as old Mrs. Higgins down the road, bless her soul. Mrs. Higgins, she wouldn’t approve of nothin’ less than the best, and I bet even she would have a good word to say about this blue dress.
I heard someone on the TV sayin’ it was a “navy suit.” Fancy words for a blue dress and jacket, if you ask me. But I guess that’s what they call it in them high-falutin’ circles. Navy suit, blue dress, whatever you want to call it, it was a good outfit. A real good outfit. The kind that makes you look like you know what you’re doin’, even if you ain’t got a clue.

And you know what else? It looked good on her. Real good. Some clothes, they just don’t suit some people, you know? But this dress, it was like it was made for her. It fit her just right, not too tight, not too loose. And the color, that blue, it made her eyes sparkle. At least, that’s what it looked like on the TV. Of course, TVs can be tricky things, makin’ everything look a little bit better than it really is.
But I don’t think the TV was lyin’ this time. That blue dress, that navy suit, whatever you wanna call it, it was a winner. A real winner. And Kate Middleton, she looked like a queen in it, even though she ain’t the queen yet, is she? Well, she looked like a queen to me, anyway. And that’s all that matters, right? In my book, if you look good and feel good, then you’re doin’ alright. And that Kate Middleton, in that blue dress, she looked like she was doin’ just fine.
So, yeah, that’s what I think about Kate Middleton’s blue dress. It’s a nice dress, a real nice dress. And she looked real nice in it. End of story. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got to go feed the chickens.
