Okay, so I’ve been seeing this Laura Geller stuff from QVC all over the place, especially about their “Today’s Special Value” thing. I finally decided to give it a shot and see what the hype is all about. I’m not a huge makeup person, but I do like to look put-together, you know?
Getting Started
First off, I went to check out what the special was. It was this Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation, a primer, and a brush. Sounded pretty good, and the price wasn’t too bad, so I added it to my cart. The website was pretty easy to navigate, nothing too complicated. I entered all my info and paid. Pretty standard stuff.
Waiting Game
Then came the waiting. I hate waiting for stuff to arrive! It took about a week, which isn’t terrible, but I was still checking the tracking number like every five minutes. Finally, the package arrived!
Unboxing Time
I opened it up, and everything was packed in there nice and neat. The foundation was in this cute little compact, and the primer came in a tube. The brush looked pretty fluffy and fancy. I was excited to try everything out.
Trying It Out
- The Primer: I put the primer on first. It was this kind of creamy stuff that felt really smooth on my skin. I let it sit for a minute like the instructions said.
- The Foundation: Next, I swirled the brush in the foundation and buffed it onto my face. It felt really lightweight, which I liked. It didn’t feel cakey at all.
- The Coverage: To be honest, I was kind of surprised! It evened out my skin tone really nicely and covered up some redness I had. It didn’t look like I was wearing a ton of makeup, but my skin looked way better.
The Verdict
So, after wearing it for a whole day, I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. My skin looked good, and the makeup lasted pretty well. I even got a couple of compliments! It was easy to apply, and the whole process was not as time-consuming as other makeup stuff I used before. I think the “Today’s Special Value” thing is worth checking out if you’re looking for some new makeup, especially if you are a beginner like me. I might even try some other Laura Geller products in the future.
I am not gonna say it is some kind of magic, but I feel good about my face when using this stuff. And I spent way less time than before on makeup. This is great for me!
