Okay, so I wanted to dig into this whole thing about whether there were any victims of sex abuse in F1 racing. It’s a heavy topic, I know, but it’s been on my mind, and I figured I’d share my little investigation journey with you all.

First off, I started by just, you know, googling around. Typed in some stuff like “sex abuse in F1” and “F1 misconduct” and all that jazz. I didn’t really know what to expect, but I just wanted to see what was already out there.
Then I began to read some articles. I’m not gonna lie, some of the stuff I read was pretty messed up. There were reports about fans being harassed at races, like, seriously gross stuff. And not just fans, I saw some things about journalists and even team members dealing with this crap too. One article mentioned that 21 people were victims of human trafficking during the race weekend. I mean, can you believe that?
I also found some stories about specific incidents. For instance, I learned that Red Bull guy, Sergio Perez, he spoke out about this. Said that anyone doing this kind of abusive stuff should be banned from F1 events for life. And it seems like F1 is trying to do something about it, they’ve got this “Drive It Out” thing they launched, which is supposed to tackle abuse.
Then there’s the whole deal with Christian Horner. If you don’t know, he’s the head honcho of the Red Bull F1 team. So, apparently, there were accusations against him by a team employee. Some messages he sent to a female employee got leaked, and they were, well, let’s just say they weren’t very professional. He says he’s innocent, but still, it’s all a bit fishy, right?
After reading all that, I started looking into what F1 is actually doing about this stuff. They say they’re taking it seriously, and they’re working with event promoters to make sure there are systems in place to report and deal with abuse. But I guess it’s hard to say how effective it all is.

Finally, I tried to find some personal stories from people who might have experienced this kind of thing. That was tough, to be honest. I mean, it’s not exactly the kind of thing people want to shout from the rooftops. But I did find a few things here and there, enough to make it clear that this isn’t just some rare, isolated problem. I spent nearly 3 hours on it.
So, yeah, that’s basically my whole process. It was a bit of a downer, not gonna lie. But I think it’s important to talk about this stuff, even if it’s uncomfortable. Because if we don’t, how can we expect anything to change?
Anyway, thanks for sticking with me through this. Let me know if you’ve got any thoughts or if you’ve done any digging into this yourself. We gotta keep the conversation going.
