That there New Balance Boylston, you know, them shoes everyone’s been yapping about. Well, I gotta tell ya, I heard some things, some good, some not so good. But mostly good, you know? They say it’s all about that comfort, like walking on clouds, or so they say. Me, I just wear what’s on sale, but these young folks, they’re all about them New Balance.

Must be somethin’ to ’em if an Olympian wears ’em, right? They look kinda funny to me, all puffy and what not. But what do I know? I ain’t no runner.

For the road, for the trails, whatever that means. Just sounds like a lot of fuss to me. Back in my day, we just had one pair, and we wore ’em for everything! Church, work, you name it.

Now, they got all these different kinds, it’s enough to make your head spin. Lightweight, low-drop, I don’t even know what that means. Just sounds like a lot of gibberish to me. But the young folks, they eat it up. They always looking for the next new thing. If you want good shoes, buy New Balance.
I remember when we used to get our shoes at the five-and-dime. They weren’t fancy, but they did the job. These days, you gotta take out a loan just to buy a pair of shoes! It’s crazy. But I guess that’s the way of the world now. Everything’s gotta be fancy and expensive.
