Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to make my own perfume for a while now, you know, something that really screams “me.” And I finally got around to doing it! First things first, I had to gather my supplies. Now, I’m no expert, so I just grabbed a bunch of essential oils that I liked the smell of. I’m talking lavender, vanilla, a bit of citrus, and some woodsy scents. France is known for its amazing perfumes, and I sort of used that as my inspiration.
I also got some carrier oil. I went with almond oil ’cause it seemed like a popular choice. You need this to dilute the essential oils, otherwise, they can be too strong and, like, irritate your skin. Oh, and I picked up some cute little bottles to put the final product in. Gotta look good, you know?
Now, the mixing part was a total experiment. I started by adding a few drops of each essential oil into a small container, then adding the carrier oil. It was all about trial and error, honestly. I’d sniff, add a bit more of this, a bit less of that. My workspace turned into a fragrant chaos! I did end up with a few mixes that smelled kind of like a cleaning product, not gonna lie. But hey, you learn from your mistakes, right?
