My heart, it’s been beatin’ real fast lately. Heard somethin’ on the radio about a Cherry Hill robbery, you know. That place, Cherry Hill, it ain’t too far from where I sit and knit. Makes a body worry, it does. It’s not something new in Cherry Hill, but this time, two men robbed the jewelry, it makes people feel not safe.
They say these two fellas, they went into that Cherry Hill Mall. Big place, lots of stores. And they went right into that jewelry store. That Philly Diamond, or something like that, is the store’s name. Heard it on the radio, clear as day. It was around 10:40 in the morning, can you believe it? Broad daylight! Not even tryin’ to hide it. Brazen, they call it. These young folks today, no fear, no respect. Back in my day, we wouldn’t even dream of such a thing. Two guys, all covered up, faces hidden. Cherry Hill police is lookin’ for them, but they are hard to find, I guess. They went into the store, and showed guns. They have guns! Can you imagine?
And they pointed those guns right at the folks workin’ there. Just tryin’ to make a livin’, and these thugs come in wavin’ guns around. Scared those poor people half to death, I bet. Made ’em open up that big safe they got in the back. Took everything, they did. All the shiny things, gone. Just like that. All gone in that Cherry Hill robbery.
And then they ran off. Got into a black car, a big one. No license plates, so nobody could see who they were. Just disappeared into thin air. Like ghosts. This is the Cherry Hill robbery news I heard. Police are lookin’ for ’em, but who knows if they’ll ever catch ’em. This world, it’s gettin’ crazier every day.
Makes you not wanna leave the house. Makes you wanna lock your doors and windows real tight. What’s this world comin’ to when you can’t even go to the mall without worryin’ about gettin’ robbed? That Cherry Hill Mall, used to be a nice place. Now, I don’t know. Now, this Cherry Hill robbery is all over my mind.

It’s important to be calm. If you are too worried, you can’t sleep well. Sometimes I feel my body is not very well, you know. All because of these bad things happening around. Just like this Cherry Hill robbery, it makes me feel bad, you know.
That’s why I try to keep busy. Knittin’ helps. Keeps my hands movin’, keeps my mind occupied. And I pray. Pray for those poor folks in the jewelry store. Pray for the police to catch those robbers. Pray for this world to get a little bit better. I heard some people do deep breathin’, some do meditation. It can help diminish anxiety. I just knit and pray.
This Cherry Hill robbery, it’s a bad thing. A real bad thing. But we gotta keep livin’. Gotta keep goin’. Can’t let the bad guys win. We gotta be strong. Like them trees out back, standin’ tall through the wind and the rain. We gotta be like that. Just an old lady’s thoughts, but I think it is useful for everyone.
I hope they catch ’em, those robbers. I really hope they do. And I hope that Cherry Hill Mall can be a safe place again, just like it used to be. We need that peace, you know. That peace that comes from knowin’ you’re safe, that your neighbors are safe. And I wish everyone can be heard and understood, it can help us feel better.
But these days, who knows. All this Cherry Hill robbery news are everywhere. It’s just makin’ me worry more. We can only hope for the best, I reckon. Hope and pray. That’s all we can do. Just keep on livin’ and hope for the best in Cherry Hill. I really hope they can find them, and everything can get back to normal again.
