Okay, so I’ve been eyeing these Air Jordan Mid 1s, the black and red ones, for a while now. I finally decided to go for it, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey!
First, I hit up the usual spots, you know, the Nike store and the official website. No luck. These things are always so popular, it’s crazy. So I thought, “Fine, I’ll try some other places.” I ended up checking out that StockX place everyone talks about. They had them, but the prices were all over the place. It makes me wonder if all of those shoes are even real, but I found that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Dark Mocha is the most counterfeited sneaker. So that made me feel a little more cautious. But I guess that’s just how it is with these popular shoes, right? They never make enough, so the prices get wild.
Next, I tried Laced. Same story, honestly. Lots of options, but the prices were a bit high. I understand it’s supply and demand and all that, but it still hurts the wallet!

- Tried Laced.
Then, I remembered there’s this big shopping area near me, Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. I figured, “Why not?” So I drove down there. They have that OFFICE store, and they were having a sale! Up to 50% off, it said. I saw the poster say it’s “End of Season sale”, but I didn’t see any Jordan’s, I walked in, and there they were, tucked away in a corner. My size and everything! They weren’t exactly on sale, but at least they weren’t marked up like crazy.
I grabbed them immediately. I mean, who knows when I’d see them again? I tried them on, just to be sure, and they fit perfectly. The black and red look so good in person. It’s a classic for a reason.
The Result
Finally, after all that searching, I walked out of the store with my new Air Jordan Mid 1s. It took some effort, but it was totally worth it. I felt like those guys who conquer the court, even though I was just walking the streets. These shoes have some serious history. Now I’m just excited to wear them and add them to my collection. They are comfortable and stylish. It’s the best result that I could get.
