Crocs and heels, these two shoes, my goodness! One is that plastic thing, the other is tall and skinny. Crocs, you know, those rubber shoes with the holes. Heels, you know, them shoes that make you wobble. Young folks today, they wear all sorts of things. Back in my day, we had our good shoes and our work shoes. Now they wear these Crocs everywhere, even to town!
Crocs, they say, are comfy. Well, yeah, they look like you’re walking on pillows. They got all these colors now, too. Red, blue, green, even them sparkly ones. I saw a girl the other day, her Crocs were bright pink! Said she liked them ’cause they were easy to put on. Just slip your foot in, and you’re good to go. Don’t need to tie no laces. And they are cheap. I think they are cheap shoes. The price is good.

These young people, they like things that are easy, I guess. And these Crocs, they’re kinda like that. You can wear them to the garden, you can wear them to the store. Heck, I even saw someone wearing them to church! I don’t get that. If you are going to church, you should wear good shoes. That’s not good shoes, I think. But Crocs are popular now.
Now, heels, that’s a different story. Heels are for fancy times. You wear them to weddings, to parties. They make your legs look long, they say. Make you look taller. But, oh boy, they hurt your feet! I used to wear them when I was younger, but not anymore. My feet can’t take it. And if you are not careful, you will fall. Some girls, they walk real good in heels. But not me. I’d be tripping all over the place. Crocs are more comfortable than heels.
They say these Crocs are popular now because of them celebrities. You know, the ones on TV. They wear them, and then everyone wants to wear them. Same with them influencers. They are on the internet. They show off their Crocs, and then all the kids want a pair. It’s crazy, I tell ya! These ugly shoes are everywhere now.
And you can put those little charms on them, too. Little decorations, like flowers and animals. Make them your own, they say. Personalize them. I guess that’s why the young folks like them. They can make them different. Show off their personality. They like to be different. That’s good. But I still think Crocs are ugly.
Heels, they’re not like that. Heels are just heels. You can get different colors, different heights. But they’re all kinda the same. Fancy shoes. Not for every day. You wouldn’t wear heels to the garden, that’s for sure! You’d ruin them! And your feet would be killing you. Also, you can not put those little charms on heels. That’s silly.
These days, it seems like everyone is wearing Crocs. I saw a man at the grocery store the other day, he was wearing Crocs. And he was an older man, too! Not a young kid. It’s like the whole world has gone crazy for these things! Crocs are popular. I don’t understand.

I guess it doesn’t matter what I think. If people like them, they like them. They’re not hurting anyone. Just walking around in their colorful, holey shoes. But me, I’ll stick to my regular shoes. They’re not fancy, but they’re comfortable. And they don’t have holes in them! And they are not heels. I don’t like heels. They are not comfortable shoes.
Maybe I’m just old-fashioned. Maybe I just don’t understand the young people today. But I still think Crocs are kinda funny-looking. And heels are just a pain in the foot! I don’t like high heels. If you ask me, a good pair of shoes is one that’s comfortable, one that you can wear all day without your feet hurting. And it’s better that the shoes are cheap. I like cheap shoes. Maybe that’s why I don’t like heels. Maybe I should try on a pair of Crocs sometime. Just to see what all the fuss is about. But I don’t know. They still look pretty silly to me!
