Okay, so, I saw online that UNIQLO was dropping this new collection, right? A collab with KAWS and Warhol. Now, I’m not the biggest art guy, but I know those names, and I figured it’d be cool to check out. Plus, I needed some new tees anyway.

First thing I did was jump on UNIQLO’s website on August 22nd. It was a mess. Everyone and their mom was trying to get their hands on this stuff. I had to wait in this virtual line for, like, an hour. Finally, I got in, and man, the best stuff was already gone. Classic.
But I wasn’t giving up that easily. I decided to hit up the actual UNIQLO store the next day, August 23rd. Figured I’d have better luck in person. I get there, and there’s already a line forming outside. People were hyped! I joined the queue, and we all waited, chatting about what we hoped to snag.
When the doors opened, it was a bit of a madhouse. Everyone rushed in, heading straight for the KAWS + Warhol section. I managed to grab a couple of tees with KAWS’ designs on them. They’re pretty simple, but I like that. They’ve got this chill vibe that I dig.
I saw some sweatshirts too, but they weren’t really my style. Too much going on for me. I did see a few people walking around with some cool Warhol-inspired pieces. One woman had this awesome tee with a banana print, looked pretty stylish.
Here’s what I ended up getting:
- A white tee with a small KAWS Companion figure on the front. It’s clean and can go with anything.
- A black tee with a larger KAWS design on the back. A little bolder, but still pretty understated.
All in all, I’m happy with what I got. It wasn’t easy, and I definitely missed out on some pieces I wanted, but that’s just how these things go. The quality seems good, like your typical UNIQLO stuff, so I’m sure these tees will last me a while. Plus, it’s kind of cool to have something from such a hyped-up collection. Makes me feel a little bit in the know, you know?

If you’re thinking about copping anything from this collection, be prepared to either wait online or fight the crowds in-store. But hey, if you’re into KAWS or Warhol, or just want some unique UNIQLO gear, it might be worth the hassle.
