Alright, let’s talk about this… this “man in pink dress” thing. I ain’t no fancy writer or nothin’, just gonna tell ya what I think, plain and simple.
See, back in my day, men wore blue, women wore pink. That’s just how it was. But times, they are a-changin’, I guess. Now you got these fellas, struttin’ around in pink like it ain’t no big deal.
First off, I heard some big-shot clothing makers, names like, uh… Pink in London and that Ralph fella, they started makin’ pink shirts and stuff for men. Said it makes ’em look confident. Confident, huh? Well, I reckon it takes a certain kinda man to wear pink, that’s for sure. Not everyone can pull it off, you know? Like, my old man, bless his soul, he wouldn’t be caught dead in pink. He’d say it’s for sissies.
- But young folks these days, they don’t care much for what old folks like me think.
- They wear what they want, do what they want. And that’s their right, I guess.
- This whole “gender” thing, they talkin’ about it all the time. Says men and women can wear whatever color they please.
And that’s true, I see it myself now, more men are wearing colors never used to be men’s colors. But some folks, they still get their feathers ruffled when they see a man in pink. They say it ain’t right, ain’t natural. But I say, live and let live. If a man wants to wear pink, let him wear pink. It ain’t hurtin’ nobody.
Now, about this wearin’ pink for a reason, like for that… breast cancer thing. I heard they do that. Wearin’ pink to get folks thinkin’ about it. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Men wearin’ pink to help the ladies. I can get behind that. That’s a good reason to wear a color, even if it ain’t your usual cup of tea.
And then you got these movie stars, fellas like… that Harry Styles and that Billy Porter fella. They wearin’ all sorts of things, dresses and whatnot. Makes people talk, that’s for sure. Some folks like it, some folks don’t. But they’re makin’ a point, I guess. Sayin’ you can be who you want to be, wear what you want to wear. And I guess that’s alright.
Some say a man in pink, he’s got style, he’s confident, he’s… what’s that word… “fashion-forward”? Yeah, that’s it. Means he knows what’s cool, what’s in. And I guess that’s true, too. If you can wear pink and look good, well, that’s somethin’. And I hear the ladies like it. They think it looks nice. Say it shows a man ain’t afraid to be himself. Well, good for them. If a pink dress can make a man attractive, then more power to him.
But still, I gotta say, it takes some gettin’ used to. Seein’ a man in pink, it’s like… well, it’s just different. But maybe different ain’t so bad. Maybe different is good. Maybe it means we’re all learnin’ to be more open-minded, more accepting. And that’s a good thing, right? It shows the times are changing. Folks are more open to new ideas. And if a man want to wear a pink dress, well, that’s his business. Long as he’s happy, and he ain’t hurtin’ nobody, that’s all that matters.
So, yeah, man in pink dress. It’s different. It’s somethin’ to think about. And maybe, just maybe, it’s a sign of good things to come. A sign that we’re all learnin’ to be a little more… free. Free to be ourselves, free to wear what we want, free to be happy. And that, I think, is somethin’ worth wearin’ any color for. Even pink.
