Okay, so, I’ve been on this whole fragrance journey lately, you know, trying to find that perfect scent. And I kept hearing about this brand, Bond No. 9, which apparently is all about New York City vibes. I was like, alright, let’s give this a shot.

No 9 Cologne: What Does It Smell Like and Is It Worth It?

So, the first thing I did was hitting up their website. Man, they got a ton of choices, it’s kind of overwhelming. I started browsing through their collection, reading descriptions, trying to get a feel for what each one was about. The names are pretty cool, too, like Bleecker Street and Greenwich Village, really gives you that New York feel just by name.

I decided to start with Bleecker Street, ’cause I saw a lot of people hyping it up. Ordered a sample, ’cause, you know, gotta test it out first. When it arrived, I was pretty excited. Sprayed it on, and boom! It’s like, this fresh, kinda sweet, but not too sweet, smell. Like blueberries, maybe? It definitely stood out.

Then I figured, why not try another one? I went for Greenwich Village next. This one, first spray is very warm. Not bad at all, but the first one is better.

After that, I ordered a bunch of samples just to explore their different scents. Like, they have this one called New Haarlem. It’s got lavender, coffee, vanilla – kind of a weird mix, but it actually works. It’s a very interesting scent.

Here is what I have tried so far:

No 9 Cologne: What Does It Smell Like and Is It Worth It?
  • Bleecker Street: This one is my favorite so far. Like I mentioned, it’s kind of fruity and unique. 10/10 for me.
  • Greenwich Village: Smells like Ambroxan. Pretty good. Maybe a 7/10. I like it.
  • New Haarlem: This one’s different. I need to wear it more to really decide how I feel about it. But it’s not bad, you know? Maybe a 6/10 for now.

So, yeah, I’m still trying out more from Bond No. 9. The thing is, these fragrances, they change after a while. Like, what you smell at first isn’t what you end up with after like 20 minutes. It’s pretty cool, actually. They’re definitely not cheap, but I think if you find the right one, it’s worth it. I’m still on the hunt for my perfect Bond No. 9, but it’s been a fun ride so far.

Oh, and one more thing, I realized that Bond No. 9 is considered a “niche” fragrance brand. I guess that means they’re not your typical department store stuff. Makes sense, ’cause their scents are pretty unique.

And their fragrances are not same after you spray, I mean when it dries up a little some 20 minutes later, it smells different, and I love it.

I will keep you guys updated as I try more. Let me know if you’ve tried any Bond No. 9 scents and what you think!
