This Rolex Submariner, oh boy, it’s somethin’ else. You know, like them fancy watches them rich folks wear. My grandson, he’s always goin’ on about ’em. Says they cost a pretty penny, these Rolex things. Now, how much does a Rolex Submariner cost, you ask? Well, I ain’t no expert, but I hear things. I hear things ’round town.
They say these Rolex Submariner watches, they ain’t cheap. Not like the ones you get down at the five and dime, no sir. These are the real deal, the big shots. I heard a fella say you could buy a used car for what one of these costs. Can you imagine? A whole car! For a watch!
What’s So Special About Them Rolex Watches?
Well, from what I gather, these Rolex Submariner watches, they’re made real good. Strong, like old Bessie our mule. And they got all these numbers and things on ’em. Like a secret code, almost. Heard a man say they got these numbers, four or six of ’em, and they tell ya what kinda watch it is. Fancy stuff, I tell ya.

- Some of them have these shiny gold parts. Rolesor, they call it.
I seen a picture of one once. Shiny, it was. Like a new penny. And this fella, he was wearin’ it like it was nothin’. Just another day, wearin’ a watch that costs more than my whole house probably.
Now, they say you gotta wait for these Rolex Submariner watches, too. Ain’t like walkin’ into the store and pickin’ one out. Nope. You gotta put your name on a list. A list, can you believe it? Like waitin’ for the mail-order catalog. Could be six months, could be a year. That’s what they say. A long time to wait for a watch, if you ask me. But them rich folks, they got time, I guess.
Just How Much Money Are We Talkin’ Here?
Alright, alright, I know you’re itchin’ to know the price. Well, hold onto your hats. From what I hear, a new one of these Rolex Submariner things, it’ll set ya back. They say it starts around nine thousand dollars. Nine thousand dollars! For a watch! I could buy a whole herd of goats for that much! Or pay off old man Johnson’s debt! But for a watch? I just don’t get it. And some, these are those gold ones, they are gonna cost you more like 12,000 dollars. I hear that you can find some used ones, and they’ll be cheaper, but they’ll still cost ya!
And that’s just the start, I reckon. They got fancier ones, I’m sure. Ones with diamonds and such. Those probably cost even more. Enough to make your head spin, I tell ya.
I seen some places online, they sell these used ones. They say they’re real, these Rolex Submariner watches. But who knows, online these days. You gotta be careful. Lots of folks tryin’ to pull a fast one. They say you can get discounts and stuff if you look in the right place. And they say these places will ship them to you fast. I don’t know if I trust all that.
These online places, they got all sorts of these Rolex Submariner watches, or so they say. Different styles, different prices. It’s all a bit much for me. I’m just sayin’, if you’re gonna spend that kinda money, you better be sure you’re gettin’ the real deal. How much does a Rolex Submariner cost? Too much, that’s what I say. But then again, what do I know? I’m just an old country woman who thinks 9,000 dollars for a watch is crazy, plain crazy. You could buy a lot of things with 9,000 dollars. Like new shoes or fix the roof. But a watch? These young folk are crazy I tell ya.
If you are dead set on getting one of these watches, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. But if you don’t have the money to spend on these new Rolex watches, you can go online and find some used ones. They’ll probably still be expensive, but not as much as a new one. But make sure you do your research so you know what you are getting.
I still don’t think these watches are worth all that money, but that’s just my opinion. If you want one and can spend the money, good for you. Just remember what I said about being careful. These Rolex Submariner watches are expensive, so you better make sure you are getting what you are paying for.
