Well, well, well, look at the young folks these days! So many of them, boys and girls, with holes in their ears. You know, back in my day, only the girls had earrings. But now? Oh, the times they are a-changin’! So, what percentage of men have earrings? I hear this question a lot. Let me tell you what I see around here.
Now, I ain’t no expert, I just see what I see. I reckon lots of men got earrings these days. Not all, but a good chunk. Earrings for men, it’s a thing now. Some got one, some got two, some got a whole bunch! It’s like, they wanna be all sparkly and shiny, just like the ladies. Makes you wonder, don’t it?
I seen a fella the other day, he had so many earrings, his ears was droopin’ down. Looked like he was carryin’ a whole hardware store on his head! I thought to myself, “Lordy, ain’t that somethin’?” It’s their choice, I guess. Some folks like it, some don’t. Me? I don’t mind, as long as they don’t try to put ’em on my ears!
You see young men, old men, all sorts of men wearin’ ’em. Men with earrings, they’re everywhere! Used to be, you see a man with an earring, you’d think, “Oh, he’s a bit different.” Now, it’s just regular. Like wearin’ a hat or somethin’. It is considered normal for men to have both ears pierced, which means men can wear earrings. That’s the trend now. It is normal that both men and women can have earrings. It’s just a style thing, I suppose. Like how folks wear them fancy ripped-up jeans. Don’t make much sense to me, but hey, to each their own, right?
So, how many men? Hard to say. I ain’t been countin’. But I’d say, a lot more than there used to be. It’s not uncommon to see men with both earrings. Maybe… half? Maybe more? It’s like askin’ how many folks like apple pie. Lots of folks like apple pie! And lots of men like earrings, it seems.

Is it normal for men to have both ears pierced? Yeah, I reckon so. Nobody bats an eye anymore. It’s like sayin’, “Is it normal to eat breakfast?” Well, yeah, most folks do. Same with the earrings. It’s just a normal thing now. The world keeps spinnin’, and folks keep doin’ what they wanna do. Earrings are becoming normal for men.
I remember when my grandson, bless his heart, he came home with a little stud in his ear. I nearly jumped out of my skin! “What in tarnation is that?” I asked him. He just laughed and said it was cool. “Cool,” I said. “Looks like you got a hole in your head!” But he didn’t mind. He liked it. And that’s all that matters, I guess. There is no rule on how many earrings a man should wear.
Now, he’s got two earrings. One in each ear. He says it’s the style. And all his friends got ’em too. They all look like little Christmas trees, all decorated and shiny. But they’re good boys, even with their earrings for men. They help me with the chores, and they’re always polite. So, who am I to judge?
It’s their choice. Their ears. If they wanna put holes in ’em and hang things from ’em, that’s their business. It’s a way of showin’ who they are, I suppose. Like wearin’ a certain color or a certain style of clothes. It’s just another way of sayin’, “This is me!”
So, yeah, a lot of men got earrings these days. More than you might think. It’s a trend, like them skinny jeans or them big ol’ phones they carry around. It’s just the way things are now. It’s not that common to see a man wearing earrings in the past, but it’s common now. And you know what? It’s okay. The world’s a big place, and there’s room for all sorts of folks, with or without earrings.
As long as they’re happy and they ain’t hurtin’ nobody, that’s all that matters. Let them have their earrings. Let them be who they wanna be. That’s what I say. Live and let live. And if you see a man with earrings, don’t you go judgin’ him. Just tip your hat and say, “Howdy!” That’s the polite thing to do. After all, it’s a free country, and folks can do what they want with their ears!
