Okay, so, I recently decided to try something new in the fragrance department and stumbled upon this thing called Angel Elixir. I saw some buzz online, mostly about it being Mugler’s latest thing, and since I’m always up for trying new scents, I thought, why not?

First off, I went to the store and tested it. I sprayed a bit on my wrist. The initial whiff? A strong hit of pink pepper. I gotta say, it was pretty bold and not something I was used to. I walked around the mall, letting the scent settle, you know, to see how it would change throughout the day.
- Sniff Test Round 1: That peppery top note was intense, but after about 30 minutes, it started to chill out.
- Sniff Test Round 2: An hour later, I was getting more of the jasmine and ylang-ylang. It felt more floral, kinda sweet, but not too much.
I kept checking my wrist every now and then. It definitely wasn’t as strong as the initial spray, but it was still there. It smelled softer, more powdery, which I didn’t mind.
I finally ordered a travel size to try this for the whole day. I’ve been wearing it for a few days now. It does smell good. It’s unique, I’ll give it that, but it’s also not overpowering. It’s like the scent stays close to you, a little secret you’re sharing with just yourself.
But here’s the thing: it doesn’t last as long as I thought it would. I mean, I sprayed it in the morning, and by lunchtime, I could barely smell it on my skin. However, it does stay on my clothes. I sniffed my coat the next day, and I could still catch a bit of it.
After spraying it on, I went about my day. Did my usual stuff, went to work, met up with some friends, and even did some light exercise. I noticed that whenever I got a bit warm, the scent would kind of “reactivate” a little, which was interesting. Maybe it’s the body heat, I don’t know.

So, after a few days of wearing Angel Elixir, I decided to wear it on a date night. I wanted to see how it would do in a more intimate setting. I applied it to my pulse points, like my wrists and neck. The scent was definitely there, but it wasn’t screaming for attention.
The Verdict?
Honestly, Angel Elixir is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I like the scent. I mean, I get why some people really dig it, but it’s not exactly love at first sniff for me. It’s not a bad scent at all. It’s just not what I expected. It’s definitely different, and maybe that’s the point. It’s not trying to be like every other perfume out there, and I respect that. Would I buy a full-size bottle? Maybe not. I feel it’s kind of generic smelling. But I’ll definitely finish my travel size.
If you’re into trying out new scents and don’t mind something that’s not super long-lasting, you might like this one. Just don’t expect it to be a “wow” from the get-go. It’s more of a slow burn, a scent that kind of grows on you. Or maybe it doesn’t. That’s the fun of trying new fragrances, right?
