Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this thing, this “artist” thing, and some women, them strong ones, you know, them bodybuilder women. And they say it’s all ’bout this “consumerism” thing. Sounds fancy, but it ain’t really.

Artist Uses Women Body Builder in Film About Consumerism (Is This the Future of Art?)

This artist, they put them strong women in some kinda film. Now, I ain’t seen it, but I reckon it’s ’bout how we all just buy, buy, buy. Like them shiny things on the TV, them newfangled gadgets everyone’s gotta have. That’s what they call this consumerism, I reckon. Just buyin’ stuff, even when you don’t need it.

They say these women, these bodybuilder, they’re like, a picture of somethin’. Strong, yeah, but also kinda like them things we see in them magazines. Perfect, you know? But ain’t nobody perfect. We all got our lumps and bumps. This artist, they know that. They’re showin’ us somethin’ ’bout how we’re all supposed to look a certain way, buy certain things to be happy.

I remember back in the day, we didn’t have all this stuff. We made do with what we had. We didn’t need no fancy film to tell us what to do. But these young’uns, they see these bodybuilder women, and they think that’s how they gotta be. Strong, sure, but also, I don’t know, like they gotta buy all them protein powders and fancy gym clothes to be worth somethin’.

  • It is about buying things.
  • It is about wanting things.
  • It is about how them ads make you feel.
  • And it is about them bodybuilder in that film.

This whole consumerism thing, it’s like a sickness, I tell ya. You see it everywhere. Them billboards, them commercials, always tellin’ ya you need this, you need that. Makes ya feel like you ain’t good enough unless you got all the latest stuff. This artist, they’re tryin’ to show us that, I think. Using them strong women to make us think ’bout what we’re doin’.

And you know what else? I heard they got some other artists doin’ similar things. One of them, they use dirt and water and plants. Like that lady, Ana what’s her name. She used dirt and stuff. Like she was part of the earth. And they say it’s ’bout bein’ a woman and all that. This artist with the bodybuilder, they ain’t usin’ dirt, but they’re still showin’ somethin’ ’bout bein’ a woman, I guess.

And there’s another one, makes pictures outta other pictures. Like them old-timey quilts, but with pictures from magazines and whatnot. They say it’s all ’bout what we see in them magazines, how it makes us think ’bout our homes and our lives. Kinda like this consumerism thing, makin’ us want things we don’t need.

These artists, they got all sorts of ways of showin’ us this stuff. Some use paint, some use dirt, some use them bodybuilder women. But it all comes down to the same thing, I reckon. This buyin’ and sellin’, this wantin’ and needin’, it’s got a hold on us. And these artists, they’re just tryin’ to shake us awake, make us see what’s goin’ on.

This one artist, they are using them strong women. They put them in a film, and they’re showin’ us all about this consumerism. How it makes us feel, how it makes us want things, how it makes us think we gotta be a certain way. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll make us think twice ’bout all that buyin’ and wantin’.

Consumerism is a big word. Big word for somethin’ that’s kinda simple, really. It’s just about stuff, and how much stuff we think we need. And this artist, they’re sayin’ maybe we don’t need all that stuff after all. Maybe them bodybuilder women, they’re strong enough without all them fancy things. And maybe we are too.

These young folks today, they’re all caught up in this consumerism. They see them bodybuilder women, them perfect bodies, and they think that’s the only way to be. But it ain’t. There’s more to life than just lookin’ a certain way or havin’ certain things. This artist, they know that. That’s why they made that film, I reckon. To show us there’s more to life than just buyin’ stuff.

I ain’t no expert on this art stuff. But I know what I see. And I see a whole lot of folks chasin’ after things they don’t need. Maybe this film, with them bodybuilder women and all, maybe it’ll make some folks stop and think. Maybe it’ll make ’em realize that happiness ain’t somethin’ you can buy in a store. It ain’t about consumerism, it is about being happy with what you got.

So, this artist, they’re doin’ somethin’ important, I think. Usin’ them bodybuilder to show us somethin’ ’bout ourselves, somethin’ ’bout this world we live in. And maybe, just maybe, that’s enough.

This consumerism, it’s a tricky thing. But I reckon this artist, they got the right idea. Usin’ them strong women, them bodybuilder, to show us what’s really important. And it ain’t got nothin’ to do with buyin’ more stuff.
