Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with the idea of stacking Cartier bracelets lately. You know, that effortlessly chic look where you mix and match different styles and metals? I finally decided to go for it, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey!
First, I visited the Cartier store. It was kind of intimidating, but also super exciting. I spent a good hour just trying on different combinations. The salesperson was really patient, thank goodness, because I must have tried on half the store. We talked about the classic collections, like the LOVE and Juste un Clou, as well as Trinity. They also showed me the Panthère and the new Grain de Café collection, which were pretty, but not exactly what I wanted to start with.
I already owned a classic yellow gold LOVE bracelet, which is like a staple, you know? So, I wanted to add something that would complement it but also stand out on its own. My wrist size is about 17cm, so according to the salesperson, I could either go for a size 17, or maybe an 18 or 19 if I wanted a bit of a looser fit.
I tried stacking my LOVE with a Juste un Clou, also in yellow gold. I tested different sizes for Juste un Clou, it is the style that a nail wrapped around my wrist. It looked cool, but I wasn’t totally sure if it was “me.” Then I tried on a rose gold Trinity bracelet. It’s such a classic piece with its three intertwined bands, but it felt a bit too delicate next to the LOVE.
First tried LOVE + Juste un Clou, both yellow gold, felt not “me.”
Then tried LOVE + Trinity, rose gold Trinity felt too delicate.
After much back and forth, I finally decided to go with a white gold Juste un Clou. The contrast between the white and yellow gold looked amazing! It was a bit of a splurge, but I knew I would wear it all the time. The salesperson also showed me how to check for the “Cartier” logo and the serial number on the inside of the bracelet to make sure it was authentic. Also made sure the size 17 is engraved. Because I want a snug fit, so I chose 17.
Putting them on for the first time was a bit of a challenge. It is a bracelet that uses a small screwdriver to open and close. But once I got the hang of it, it was fine. I’ve been wearing my new stack every day since, and I’m totally in love! It feels so luxurious and stylish, and I get compliments on it all the time. I am thinking about adding a diamond-studded LOVE to the mix sometime in the future. My next step is saving money for it.
Anyway, if you’re thinking about starting your own Cartier stack, I say go for it! It’s definitely an investment, but it’s so worth it. Just be prepared to spend some time figuring out what you like and what looks best on you.
