Okay, so, today I wanted to dive into something a little different – “celebrity Chinese.” Yeah, you heard that right. I got this wild idea to see which famous folks out there are actually trying to learn or speak Chinese. It started when I stumbled upon an article about some top celebrities who are surprisingly good at Mandarin.

Celebrity Chinese for Everyone: Get Started Today

First, I started digging around the internet, just casually browsing, and I found this list from Forbes China. Apparently, they release a celebrity list every year. This year, Jackson Yee, you know, the singer and actor who’s been in ads for Armani and Tiffany, he was at the top of the list again. That got me thinking, how many of these celebrities can actually speak the language?

Then, I looked into how we, the regular folks, can actually connect with celebrities on WeChat. Turns out, you can just go to the ‘Social’ tab, hit ‘Add Contacts’, and you can add them by ID or QR Code. I tried adding a couple of them, like Rainie Yang and Show Luo, just to see if it worked. It’s pretty cool, but I haven’t gotten any replies yet, maybe they’re busy, haha.

I also found some interesting stories about Western celebrities learning Chinese. For example, Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook guy, he’s been learning for almost 10 years! I watched a video of him giving a 20-minute speech in Mandarin at Tsinghua University. It wasn’t perfect, but you could tell he put in a lot of effort. It’s pretty inspiring to see someone like him trying to learn such a complex language.

  • Found out that the former Australian prime minister, Kevin Rudd, is fluent in Mandarin.
  • Discovered a bunch of articles listing celebrities who speak Chinese.
  • Read that learning about Chinese celebrities is a good way to improve your own Mandarin skills.

I even came across some lists of the most famous Chinese people, including actors, emperors, and billionaires. And, of course, who could forget Jackie Chan? I watched a few of his interviews, and it’s amazing how he’s such a global icon.

Lastly, I noticed that there’s this online poll going on, ranking the top 10 most influential Chinese celebrities. It’s all about finding the most impactful and significant Chinese celebrity, both in China and internationally. It is interesting to see how people are voting and who they consider the most influential.

Celebrity Chinese for Everyone: Get Started Today

So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of celebrity Chinese. It’s been a fun ride, and it’s pretty cool to see how many people are interested in learning and speaking the language, even if they’re famous and busy. It makes you realize that language learning is something that connects all of us, no matter who we are or where we come from.
