Alright, alright, settle down now, y’all. Let’s talk about them commando guys, you know, the fellas in them action movies. The ones who always be shootin’ and blowin’ stuff up. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, but I know what I like, and I like a good ol’ action flick.

Now, some folks, they like them superhero movies. You know, the fellas in tights flyin’ around and zappin’ things with their laser eyes. That’s all well and good, but I like my heroes a little more… down to earth, ya know? Like that fella, Arnold Schwarzenegger, in that movie “Commando.” Now there’s a real man! He goes and saves his daughter from them bad guys, and he don’t need no fancy superpowers to do it. Just good ol’ fashioned muscles and guns.
And then there’s that other fella, what’s his name? Oh yeah, John Wick. That man is somethin’ else. He can take out a whole room full of bad guys with just a pencil! I ain’t never seen nothin’ like it. He’s quiet and deadly, like a snake in the grass. They say he’s got a whole bunch of movies, but I ain’t seen ‘em all yet. Gotta find some time to catch up on them.
- There’s also them “Mission Impossible” movies, with that fella who likes to hang off of things. Planes, buildings, you name it. He’s always gettin’ himself into some kinda trouble, but he always manages to get out of it, one way or another. Them movies are real nail-biters, I tell ya. Keeps you on the edge of your seat.
- And who can forget them “Rambo” movies? That fella, he’s been fightin’ bad guys for years! He’s tough as nails, that one. He went through all kinds of trouble in Vietnam, and now he’s still fightin’ for what’s right. He’s a real hero, even if he does break a few laws along the way.
Now, some folks, they say them old action movies are better than the new ones. They say they had more heart, more grit. And maybe they’re right. I mean, them old movies, they didn’t have all them fancy special effects. They had to rely on good ol’ fashioned stunts and explosions. And that’s what made ’em so good. But the new ones ain’t bad neither. They got bigger explosions, fancier fight scenes, and sometimes they are so fast I don’t even understand what’s happening.
Die Hard, that’s another good one. That fella, he’s just a regular cop, but he ends up takin’ on a whole bunch of terrorists all by himself. He’s got guts, that one. And he’s funny too. Always crackin’ jokes, even when he’s in the middle of a gunfight. You don’t see that too often these days, fellas who know how to tell a good joke when they are killing people.
Then there’s “Hardcore Henry.” Now that one’s a bit different. It’s all filmed from the first-person perspective, so it’s like you’re right there in the middle of the action. It’s a wild ride, I tell ya. Makes you feel like you are the one doing all the shooting and running.

And let’s not forget “The French Connection.” That’s an oldie but a goodie. It’s about a couple of cops tryin’ to track down a big-time drug smuggler. It’s got a real gritty, realistic feel to it. Makes you feel like you’re right there on the streets with them.
Another one they call “Universal Soldier”, I remember watching that one time, it had them fellas who were brought back to life or something. They were strong and mean and shooting at each other all the time. I don’t remember all the details but I do remember there was a lot of action.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good action movie, there’s plenty to choose from. You got your classic commando guys, your modern action heroes, and everything in between. Just pick one, sit back, and enjoy the ride. And don’t forget the popcorn!
But if you ask me, the best action movies are the ones that make you feel something. The ones that make you cheer for the good guys and boo the bad guys. The ones that make you feel like you’re right there in the middle of the action. And that’s why I like them commando guys. They always get the job done, no matter what.
So, next time you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, give one of them action movies a try. You might just find yourself a new favorite. And who knows, maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two about how to take down a bad guy… or at least how to make a good bowl of popcorn.
