Okay, so I saw this thing online about the “Love Island USA” reunion outfits, and I just had to try and recreate them, let me tell you all about it.
I’m a huge fan of the show, always have been. When I heard about the season 6 reunion, I was hyped! So, the reunion was supposed to happen on August 19th, I think. I started by watching a ton of episodes, you know, to get a feel for everyone’s style.
Then, I hit up the internet, looking for pics of the outfits. It was a bit of a challenge, to be honest. There were some sites talking about the best and worst looks, and something about eBay being a partner, which was news to me. They talked about how islanders bring their own suitcases but can’t wear brands and stuff. And also some comments saying they partnered up again in 2022. Anyway, I scoured through all these posts, trying to get a good look at what everyone was wearing.
After I had a decent idea, I headed to my closet. Now, I don’t have the exact same clothes, obviously, but I tried to find stuff that matched the vibe. Like, there was this one girl, I think her name was, uh, never mind, but she had this killer dress on. I found a similar one in my wardrobe, similar color, similar cut. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked!
I spent a good chunk of time mixing and matching, trying different combinations. Some outfits were easier to recreate than others. For the guys, it was mostly about finding the right kind of shirt or jacket. I even dusted off some old accessories I hadn’t worn in ages, just to complete the look.
