Yo, you ever heard of them Foamposite blue and white shoes? They’re somethin’ else, I tell ya. Like somethin’ from outer space, but, you know, for your feet. My grandson, he’s always on about these things. Says they’re all the rage. He keeps talkin’ ’bout “Nike,” “Nike,” like I know what that is. I just nod my head and say, “That’s nice, dear.”

Foamposite blue and white release history, a look back. From the originals to the latest drops.

These shoes, they got this hard shell, kinda like a beetle. And this one, it’s blue and white. Real bright blue, like the sky on a clear day after a good rain. Not like that muddy blue you see sometimes. This is a good blue. And then it’s got white, like fresh milk. Looks kinda like them old-timey basketball shoes, but way fancier. Nike Foamposite, that’s what he calls ’em. Gotta remember that, Nike Foamposite.

They came out a long time ago, my grandson was sayin’. Back in 1997. I remember 1997. That’s when I got my new dentures. He says they was made for some basketball fella. Penny somethin’. Hardaway, I think it was. Penny Hardaway. Heard of him, but I ain’t much for sports. My grandson says these shoes are like a legend or somethin’. Says people go crazy for ’em. They line up and everything. For shoes! Can you believe it? I told him, “Back in my day, we were happy to have shoes at all!”

  • Blue like the summer sky
  • White like fresh milk
  • Hard shell like a bug
  • Came out in ’97, like my dentures
  • Some basketball player wore ’em, that Penny fella

He showed me pictures on his phone. These Foamposite blue and white shoes, they got this shiny look to ’em. And the bottom is all bumpy. He says it’s for grip. So you don’t slip and fall, I guess. Makes sense, I s’pose. Wouldn’t want to take a tumble in these things. They look expensive. My grandson said they cost more than my whole outfit! I just laughed and said, “Well, they ain’t got no holes in ’em, so that’s somethin’.”

He keeps talkin’ about “releases” and “raffles.” Like they’re givin’ these shoes away or somethin’. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss for some footwear, if you ask me. But he’s happy, so that’s all that matters. He says these blue and white ones, they’re special. He says they got somethin’ to do with that basketball team, the Orlando Magic. Never heard of ’em. But the colors are nice, I gotta admit. That blue and white, it’s a good combination. Like a summer day. Nike Air Foamposite One. The name is also important. Gotta remember that.

I still don’t understand why people get so worked up about shoes. But these Foamposite blue and white ones, I guess I can see the appeal. They’re different. They’re shiny. They’re blue and white. And they make my grandson happy. He says they are a revolution. What do I know about revolutions? I just know they look like they’d be hard to clean. He says that is a comprehensive Nike Foamposite buyers guide or something. You gotta read that or you may buy the wrong one.

Foamposite blue and white release history, a look back. From the originals to the latest drops.
  • People go crazy for ’em
  • They got this “raffle” thing
  • Somethin’ about a basketball team, Orlando somethin’
  • They cost a lot of money, more than I make in a month!
  • Shiny like a new penny, even though that Penny fella wore ’em

If you want those shoes, Nike Foamposite in your collection, you gotta keep your eyes peeled. They ain’t just sittin’ on the shelf at the store, you know. My grandson tells me they release these shoes like they’re some kinda wild animal. And people, they hunt ’em down. It’s a whole thing, this shoe business. Anyway, this one time, he stayed up all night just to try to get a pair of these online, this Foamposite blue and white one in particular. I heard all that clackin’ on the keyboard all night. I thought we had a raccoon in the house! He says that’s the only way to get them.

I don’t know nothin’ about basketball, but I do know blue and white. And I know these shoes, these Nike Foamposite things, they’re somethin’ special to the young folks. They are designed by some guy called Eric. Eric Avar, maybe. Or maybe it’s just a marketing thing, I don’t know. It’s all beyond me. But if you see ’em, these blue and white ones, you’ll know what I’m talkin’ about. They’re the ones that look like they belong on a spaceship. Or maybe a beetle. A very expensive, very blue and white beetle. They look futuristic. Whatever that means.

Anyway, that’s all I know about them shoes. If you like blue and white, and you like shoes that look like they come from the future, then maybe these Foamposite blue and white are for you. Just don’t ask me to explain all that “raffle” and “release” stuff. I just know they’re a big deal. And they’re blue. And white. A very nice blue and white, at that. That’s a good color for Nike Foamposite. And don’t forget that Penny Hardaway guy.
