Okay, let’s talk about my little adventure with Guerlain’s “nude” look. I’m not a makeup guru, just someone who likes to feel good and put together without too much fuss. I heard about this brand, Guerlain, which sounds fancy, and I thought, why not give it a shot?

Guerlain nude: find your perfect shade and get the flawless skin

First off, I went to their counter. You know, the one at the department store that always seems a bit intimidating? But the lady there was nice, and she helped me out. The goal was a “nude” look, something natural, like I woke up looking flawless (we all wish, right?).

She started with this foundation called Parure Gold Skin Matte. I’m usually a “2W” in foundations, so that’s what we went with. She dabbed it on my jawline to see if it matched. “Always check the jawline, close to your ear,” she said. It blended in pretty well, so that was a good start.

Then came the eyeshadow. They have these palettes called Ombres G, and the one for the nude look is 258 Wild Nudes. It’s got these four shades, all kind of in the brown and beige family. Nothing too crazy. She showed me how to put the lightest shade all over my lid, then a slightly darker one in the crease to make my eyes pop a little. Honestly, it looked pretty good, even if I do say so myself.

  • Start with the Parure Gold Skin Matte foundation. Find your shade.
  • Next, grab the Ombres G 258 Wild Nudes palette.
  • Lightest shade all over the lid.
  • Slightly darker shade in the crease.
  • Blend, blend, blend!

After that, she used this Rouge G Luxury Velvet lipstick, number N159. I don’t usually wear lipstick, but this one was kind of a brownish-nude, very subtle. I actually liked it. It didn’t feel too heavy or sticky, which is a big plus for me.

She also mentioned a mascara, Noir G, but in a brown shade (32). I didn’t try it that day, but I’m thinking about going back for it. I mean, brown mascara? That’s new to me, but it sounds like it would go well with the whole natural look thing. I might go get it in the next few days.

There’s also this powder they have, Parure Gold Skin Diamond Micro-Powder. Apparently, it’s got gold and diamond powder in it. Sounds super fancy, but the lady said it just sets everything and makes you look radiant. I didn’t get it then, but maybe for a special occasion.

The whole thing was surprisingly easy. I didn’t feel like I was wearing a ton of makeup, but I definitely looked more polished than usual. I even got a compliment from my friend later that day! She said I looked “fresh” and “well-rested.” Mission accomplished, I guess!

So yeah, that’s my experience with the Guerlain nude look. It was fun trying something new, and I think I’ll be incorporating some of these products into my routine. Maybe not the diamond powder every day, but definitely the foundation and that eyeshadow palette. And who knows, maybe I’ll become a brown mascara convert! It does make the overall makeup look fresh.

My final thought

If you’re looking for a natural, everyday makeup look, I’d say give this Guerlain thing a try. It’s a bit of a splurge, but it might be worth it if you want to feel a little more put together without looking like you’re trying too hard.
