Okay, so, I’ve been seeing Hilary Duff’s style all over my feed lately, and let me tell you, I’m obsessed. She’s like the queen of everyday chic, you know? So, I decided, “I’m gonna try to recreate some of her looks.” It can’t be that hard, right? She’s all about those comfy basics that still look put-together.

First Steps
First thing I did was scroll through tons of pictures of her outfits. I mean, tons. I noticed she’s really into leggings, which is great because, same. I love leggings. And she always pairs them with these cute ankle booties, usually with a heel. Also, she often wears some sort of simple, yet interesting top. It makes sense, given her busy lifestyle, having a four-year-old child, and also starring in a TV show. I made a list of all the pieces I needed and took note of her petite body frame.
Shopping Time
Then, it was shopping time! I hit up a few of my favorite stores, and guess what? It wasn’t as hard as I thought to find similar stuff. I managed to find some really good dupes for her leggings and booties. I also found some tops that had that same effortless vibe she always has going on. I really paid attention to my measurements and body frame, since I learned that Hilary has a petite frame.
Styling and Trial Runs
Once I had all the pieces, I started playing around with different combinations. I tried on the leggings with different tops and the booties. I even accessorized a bit with scarves and jewelry, just like she does. I took a bunch of pics to see what looked best. Honestly, it was kind of fun experimenting. My biggest discovery is that I must have a good tailor on call. I realized this after trying on a dress that was meant for petites, but it still didn’t quite fit right. I’m not one to go to a fitting alone, so I called up my bestie to come with me.
Final Results
After a few trial runs, I finally nailed a few outfits that I think really capture that Hilary Duff vibe. I feel super comfy, but also like I could run into her on the street and we’d be style twins. It’s amazing how just changing up a few basic pieces can totally transform your look. I would say that trying to emulate Hilary Duff’s style has been a success! I learned so much about how to put together simple, chic outfits that I know I’ll be wearing all the time.
