Alright, so I’ve been obsessed with Drake’s “Hotline Bling” music video lately. You know, that one where he’s dancing in those colorful boxes? Yeah, I decided I wanted to try and recreate his outfit from the video.

First things first, I watched the video again, like, a hundred times. I paused it, zoomed in, all that stuff, just to get a good look at what he was wearing. The main thing is that grey, comfy-looking sweater and those tan boots.
Next, I started hunting online for similar clothes. It took some time, man. I went through a bunch of different websites, trying to find a sweater that matched the one in the video. It had to be the right shade of grey, you know? Not too dark, not too light.
- I found a few that were close, but they were either way too expensive or looked kinda cheap.
- Eventually, I stumbled upon this one online store that had a sweater that looked almost identical. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I figured, what the heck, it’s for the look.
Then came the boots. Now, Drake was wearing Timberlands in the video, but I wasn’t about to drop that much cash on a pair of boots I might only wear a few times. I looked for some cheaper alternatives that had a similar style and color. Found some on a sale, which was a total score.
After that, I needed some light grey sweatpants. Those were easy to find. I just grabbed a pair from my closet that I already owned. They were a little baggy, which actually worked better for the look I was going for.
Once I had all the pieces, I tried them on. The sweater was super comfy, just like it looked in the video. The boots were a little stiff at first, but I broke them in after wearing them around the house for a bit.

Putting it all together, I think I nailed the look pretty well. It’s not an exact replica, but it definitely captures the vibe of Drake’s outfit in “Hotline Bling.” The song became a Number Two hit, so I know many of you love it.
The Final Touches
I even tried to mimic some of his dance moves from the video. That was… interesting. Let’s just say I’m no Drake when it comes to dancing. But hey, it was all in good fun. Overall, it was a fun little project. It was cool to try and recreate a look from such an iconic music video. And now I have a super comfy outfit to lounge around in, so that’s a win.
