Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this whole “Broken Planet” thing I got into. It all started when I saw this ad online for, like, eco-friendly clothes. I’m not a huge tree-hugger or anything, but I do care about, you know, not ruining the planet completely. So, I checked it out.

First off, I went to their website. They claimed their stuff is made from organic cotton and recycled materials, which is pretty cool. They even said they make sure their factories in Vietnam and China are all good, no child labor or anything shady like that. I mean, who knows if it’s 100% true, but it sounded legit. And you know what they said? They said “We specifically vet our factories to ensure no child labour, bonded labour, or precarious employment is reported. Our organic cotton is grown in Vietnam and our recycled fabrics are produced in China.” I thought that was cool!
But here’s the thing, I started seeing people online talking about fake “Broken Planet” hoodies. Apparently, because it’s a popular brand and I guess it is, there are a lot of knock-offs going around. I definitely didn’t want to end up with a fake, so I did some digging.
I found this whole guide on how to spot a fake, and it was, like, super detailed. It talked about the print quality, saying the real ones have, like, perfect prints that are stuck on really well. I was like ok, ok I’ll look at that when I have one.
Anyways, I finally decided to just order one. I figured, worst-case scenario, I could always return it if it looked fake. When it arrived, I ripped open the package like a kid on Christmas morning. I checked the print right away, just like the guide said, and it looked pretty good to me. Not blurry or anything, you know?
I also, I saw the pictures and it was also after I washed it once. Still looked the same so I guess it was real!

Then, I checked out the tags and stuff. The guide I read didn’t say anything about tags. So I just looked at the print and compared it to what I saw on the website and I guess, I guess it was good. I think I got the real deal. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty stoked.
I’ve been wearing it a lot since then, and it’s actually a really nice hoodie. It’s comfy, it looks good, and I feel a little bit better knowing it’s maybe, probably, not contributing to the world’s problems as much as some other clothes.
So yeah, that’s my whole “Broken Planet” adventure. It was a bit of a journey, with all the fake-spotting and stuff, but I’m happy with my purchase. If you’re thinking about getting one, just do your research and make sure you’re getting the real thing. Or not, I mean, it’s your money.
