Today, I felt like trying out some new makeup stuff, so I thought, why not hit up Inglot in NYC? I’d heard some buzz about it and figured it was time to check it out myself.
Getting There
First off, I hopped on the subway. The ride was, well, a typical NYC subway ride – crowded but quick. I got off at the stop closest to the store, which was pretty convenient. Walked a couple of blocks, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. It’s always a bit of an adventure navigating these streets.
Inside the Store
Stepping into Inglot, I was immediately struck by how bright and organized everything was. It wasn’t overwhelming like some makeup stores can be. The staff greeted me with a smile, which is always a good start. They asked if I needed help, but I told them I just wanted to browse for a bit.
The Makeup
- Eyeshadows: They have this Freedom System where you pick your own colors and create a custom palette. I spent a good chunk of time swatching different shades. Some were super pigmented, others more subtle.
- Foundations: I tested a few foundations on my hand. They had a decent range of shades, but I didn’t find my perfect match this time.
- Lipsticks: So many colors! I tried a couple on, and they felt pretty nice – not too drying.
- Other Stuff: They also had blushes, highlighters, and all sorts of other goodies. I played around with a few, but nothing really screamed “buy me” today.
Making a Decision
After about an hour of browsing and testing, I decided to grab a couple of eyeshadows that caught my eye. They were these gorgeous shimmery shades that I figured would be perfect for a night out. I also picked up a new eyeliner – can never have too many of those, right?
Checking Out
The checkout process was smooth. The cashier was friendly, and I didn’t have to wait in line for ages. They bagged my items, and I was on my way.
Final Thoughts
All in all, it was a pretty good experience. I enjoyed exploring the store and trying out different products. It wasn’t a life-changing makeup haul, but I had fun, and that’s what counts. Plus, I got a couple of new things to add to my collection. I’ll definitely be back to Inglot to see what else they have to offer.
