Okay, so yesterday, I headed over to Macy’s. You know, the one downtown. I’ve been meaning to check out some new skincare stuff, and I’d heard a lot about Clinique. I always feel like I don’t know much about their products, so I decided to take this chance to try some of their products. Honestly, I’d never tried a Clinique product until yesterday. So, this was a totally new experience for me.

I walked into the beauty section, and it was pretty overwhelming. So many brands, so many products! But I spotted the Clinique counter, and it looked pretty inviting. There was this lady there, a consultant I guess, and she came up to me and asked if I needed any help. I told her I was just browsing but curious about their skincare line.

She started showing me some of their best-sellers, like the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. She explained how it’s supposed to be super hydrating and good for all skin types. I tried a bit on the back of my hand, and it felt pretty nice, not greasy at all.

Then she showed me their 3-Step Skincare System. It seems to be quite famous. It’s like a whole routine – cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize. She explained each step, and how they work together and all that. I was kind of getting into it by this point.

I also looked at some of their makeup. I’ve heard their Chubby Sticks are pretty popular. They had all these different shades. I tried a couple on my hand. They seemed creamy enough.

What I Actually Got

  • I ended up buying the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+. It just felt so good on my skin, and I liked that it’s fragrance-free.
  • I also got a small travel-size set of the 3-Step System. I figured it was a good way to try it out without committing to the full-size bottles.

Overall, it was a good experience. The consultant was helpful and not too pushy. It made me realize that Clinique has got some pretty decent stuff. And I found out that they often offer some high-quality gift bags. I might go back to get some when they have those. I’m excited to see how these products work for me. I mean, I’ve heard so many mixed reviews about Clinique, some say it’s not worth the money, but I think it really depends on your skin type and what you’re looking for. For me, so far, so good. I guess I’ll find out if I become a lifelong devotee or not!
