Okay, so a while back I got this wild idea to check out this place called Lenore Gardens. I’d seen some stuff online about it, you know, the usual – pictures of colorful flowers and whatnot. Sounded interesting enough, so I thought, “Why not?”
First thing I did was try to figure out where this place even was. Turns out, it’s tucked away in the suburbs, a bit of a drive but nothing crazy. I hopped in my car and just started heading east, following my phone’s GPS. The neighborhood, Maplecrest, seemed pretty chill. Lots of trees, quiet streets – you get the idea.
Then, I had to find the actual garden which proved to be a little bit of a challenge. I drove around for what felt like forever before I finally spotted this somewhat hidden entrance. I parked my car and got out, feeling a little bit like I was stepping into some secret world.
I wandered around the garden, taking it all in. To be honest, it wasn’t exactly what I expected. Sure, there were some pretty flowers and plants, but it was smaller than I thought it would be. It was more like a little oasis, I guess.
After spending a bit of time there, I remembered that there was this other place, a spa, with a similar name that was nearby. I thought maybe there was a connection, so I decided to check it out. I drove to Jakarta, where the spa was located, and made my way inside.
The spa was nice – relaxing, you know? They had all sorts of stuff like massages and whatnot. I didn’t actually get any treatments, but I walked around, looked at the different rooms, and read some reviews people had left. Most of them were positive, talking about how great the staff was and how refreshed they felt afterward.
While I was at the spa, I overheard someone talking about a place called “The Oaks.” They mentioned it was this historic site with a garden, somewhere in Ballarat. I made a mental note to look it up later. It sounded interesting, especially since they were saying it was only open to the public for a couple of days.
Anyway, after leaving the spa, I grabbed some food and just kind of reflected on the whole day. I definitely found out a lot of interesting stuff. It was not quite the day I had imagined, but it was still a good time. This experience made me realize that sometimes, the best adventures are the ones you don’t plan too much for.

Reflections
Honestly, the whole experience was a bit of a mixed bag, but in a good way. I went in expecting one thing and ended up discovering a bunch of other stuff I never would have known about otherwise. It just goes to show that sometimes, you gotta roll with the punches and see where life takes you. You might be surprised at what you find.
