Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Lululemon Like New thing, ya know, the clothes they sell. Folks are talkin’ ’bout it on that Reddit thing, the one my grandson always lookin’ at.

What’s this Lululemon Like New?
So, from what I gather, it’s like a second-hand store, but for Lululemon stuff. You know, them fancy pants and shirts the young’uns wear to the gym. They say it’s “legit,” means it’s the real deal, not some knock-off stuff. People trade in their old Lululemon clothes, and then they sell ’em again. Kinda like how we used to trade clothes with the neighbors, only fancier, I reckon.
They say it’s good ’cause it keeps clothes outta the trash. Back in my day, we didn’t throw nothin’ away if it was still good. Patched it up, made it last. These city folk, they just buy new all the time. Guess this is their way of makin’ do, huh?
- Them comfy pants, what they call ’em, Align somethin’? People seem to love them. Buttery soft, they say. Sounds like somethin’ you’d wear to bed, not to sweat in, but what do I know? I wear my old overalls, good enough for me.
- And them little bags, the ones that go ’round your waist? Everywhere Belt Bags, they call ’em. Handy, I guess, if you need to carry your phone and keys. Back in my day, we had pockets. Or a basket. Worked just fine.
Now, they say the quality is good. But listen here, if it ain’t, you can send it back. Thirty days, they give ya. That’s fair, I s’pose. Not like old man Johnson’s store, once you bought it, it was yours, no matter if it fell apart the next day. But you gotta send it back quick, they say. Ten days after you get the label. Don’t dilly-dally.
Some folks on that Reddit thing, they say it’s “worth it.” Means it’s a good deal, I guess. One person, they took 27 pieces of Lululemon stuff to trade in. Said it was all in good shape, no rips or stains. Imagine that! Twenty-seven pieces! Must have a whole closet full of them stretchy pants. When I was young, I had one good dress for Sunday and a couple of work clothes. That was it.

Why Lululemon is so popular, I don’t get it.
Lululemon, they make a big fuss about being all new and fancy and listenin’ to what the customers want. And they got stores, real fancy ones, where you can touch and feel the clothes, I hear. And they got folks who just love their stuff, buy it all the time. Must be doin’ somethin’ right, even if I don’t understand it.
So, is this Like New thing any good? Well, I reckon it depends on what you’re lookin’ for. If you want them fancy pants but don’t wanna pay full price, it might be worth a shot. Just make sure you check it over good before you buy it, and don’t wait too long to send it back if you don’t like it. That’s what I tell my grandson, anyway.
And if it don’t work out, well, there’s always the thrift store. You can find good clothes there too, if you know what to look for. Sometimes old is just as good as new, maybe even better. That’s what I always say.
But then again, these young people and their ways… always something new. As long as they’re happy and not wastin’ money, I guess it’s alright. This whole “like new” thing, though… seems like a lot of fuss for clothes, if you ask me.

Is it really a good deal?
From what that Reddit bunch is sayin’, sometimes you can get a real steal. Other times, maybe not so much. You gotta be careful, just like with anythin’ you buy used. Look it over good, make sure it ain’t got no holes or stains. And if it don’t fit, well, you’re outta luck. Unless you know someone who can take it in or let it out. My old neighbor, Bessie, she was a whiz with a needle and thread. Could fix anything.
But for the youngsters, I guess this Lululemon Like New is the way to go. They get their fancy clothes, and they feel good about not wastin’ stuff. And that’s alright, I guess. Times change, and people change with ‘em. Me? I’ll stick with my overalls and my good ol’ cotton dresses. They’ve never let me down yet.
