Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this watch, the Parmigiani Fleurier GMT, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey.

First off, I started by just trying to get a feel for the thing. You know, winding it up, setting the time, the usual stuff. It’s got this GMT function, which is supposed to let you track a second time zone. Sounds cool, but honestly, I just wanted to see how it worked.
So, I dug around online. Found some random forum posts and a few mentions on some shopping sites. No official manual or anything super helpful, which is a bummer. Mainly, I found some people talking about how great this watch looks, or where to find designer clothes to go with it. Not exactly what I was looking for.
Figuring out the GMT hand
I played around with the crown, pulling it out to different positions and turning it. Eventually, I figured out that one position lets you move the main hour hand independently. That’s how you set the second time zone on the GMT hand. I think. Still not 100% sure if I’m doing it right, to be honest.
Setting the date
- Pull the crown out to the first position.
- Turn it one way to adjust the date.
- Push it back in when you’re done.
That part was pretty straightforward. I managed to get the date set without too much trouble. It’s a little window near the 3 o’clock position. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
It took some trial and error. I searched for any clue, found some random stuff about online betting, food delivery, and even something about a heat recovery unit. Totally unrelated, but that’s the internet for you.

I even stumbled upon some weird links about song lyrics. Torrent stuff, too. Seemed sketchy, so I just skipped over all that.
At the end of the day, I got the watch set up, mostly. Still not sure about all the features, but hey, it’s working. And it does look pretty sharp on the wrist. Maybe I’ll figure out the rest later. Or maybe I’ll just wear it and enjoy how it looks. We’ll see.
It’s all part of the fun, right? Sometimes you just gotta tinker with things and see what happens. Even if it means wading through a bunch of useless info online.
Anyways, that’s my little adventure with the Parmigiani Fleurier GMT. Hope it was at least a little entertaining. Catch you later!
