Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here Patek Philippe Ellipse watch. Folks say it’s a fancy thing, real high-quality stuff. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I hear things. They say Patek don’t make a whole lot of these watches, maybe ’bout 62,000 a year or somethin’ like that. Keeps ’em special, they say, like them fancy eggs the hens used to lay.
Now, this Ellipse watch, it ain’t just any ol’ shape. It’s got this… this… well, they call it “golden section” or some such. Some old Greek fellas figured it out way back when. Fancy way of sayin’ it looks good, I reckon. Like a nice, balanced basket of apples.

Some folks say buyin’ a Patek is like puttin’ money in the bank. They say it’ll be worth more later on. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that. Seems to me like a watch is a watch. But then again, I ain’t never had nothin’ fancy like that.
If you’re lookin’ to buy a new Patek Philippe Ellipse, well, there’s places that sell ’em. I heard tell of somethin’ called Chrono24, but I ain’t never seen it myself. They say they got over 475 of them Ellipse watches, all new and shiny. And they got this buyer protection thing, whatever that is. Sounds like they make sure you ain’t gettin’ cheated, which is always a good thing, I say.
Don’t go thinkin’ you gotta be a millionaire to own one of these watches, though. Sure, some of ’em cost a fortune, but they say there’s models like this Ellipse and that Twenty~4 thing that ain’t quite as expensive. Still gonna cost ya more than a good plow horse, but it ain’t gonna break the bank entirely.
I saw one of them Ellipse watches listed somewhere, I think. Said it was white gold and had a leather strap. Goin’ for somethin’ like $8,965. Now, that’s a lot of money, but it ain’t near as much as them other ones. Still, I can’t imagine spendin’ that much on a watch. I’d rather buy a new tractor or a few good cows.
So, that’s the story on these Patek Philippe Ellipse watches, as best as I can tell ya. They’re fancy, they’re expensive, and they’re supposed to be a good investment. If you got the money and you like the way they look, then go ahead and get yourself one. Me? I’ll stick with my old trusty pocket watch. It ain’t fancy, but it tells the time just fine.
And that’s all that really matters in the end, ain’t it? Just knowing what time it is so you can get your chores done and get to bed before the sun goes down. These fancy watches, they’re nice and all, but they ain’t gonna help you plow a field or milk a cow any faster.
