This here’s about that Robert Redford fella and his wrist watch. You know, that movie star, always lookin’ spiffy. He’s got a bunch of them watches, seems like.

Robert Redford Wrist Watch: Find Your Own Iconic Timepiece!

That Red Watch, the Rolex

Now, I heard tell he’s been wearin’ the same one for, Lord, forty years or more. A red one, they call it a Rolex Submariner. Fancy name, ain’t it? Someone tried to give him a gold one once, a gold Rolex, no less! But he just said, “I ain’t a gold kinda guy.” Can you imagine? Turnin’ down gold! That Robert Redford wrist watch must be somethin’ special, huh?

Movies and Watches

He wears ’em in the movies, too. Not just any old watch, mind you. He’s got this one, a Doxa somethin’ or other, he wore in that movie, “Three Days of the Condor.” Sounded like a bird, that movie title. And another one, a Victorinox, in that “Spy Game” picture. My nephew liked that one, all about spies and such. He always wears ’em on his right wrist, that Robert Redford. Heard he’s left-handed, you see.

  • Rolex Submariner
  • Doxa SUB 300T Sharkhunter
  • Victorinox Swiss Army
  • Seiko SKX009

He wore that Rolex, the red one, in “The Candidate” too. Back in ’72, that was. They say the writin’ on the watch face was red, not white like most. That Robert Redford wrist watch, that red Rolex, it’s like his trademark or somethin’.

That Seiko Watch

Then there’s that other movie, “All is Lost.” He’s all alone on a boat, in the middle of the ocean. Tough luck, that was. But he had a watch on, a Seiko SKX009. That one wasn’t fancy like the Rolex, but it did the job, I reckon. It was a dive watch, strong enough to handle the rough sea and that is what the Robert Redford wrist watch is needed in that movie. Keeps on tickin’, even when you’re about to go under.

Somebody was talkin’ ’bout that Seiko watch on the internet. Said it played a big part in the movie. I guess if you’re stuck out at sea, a good watch is all the company you got.

Fancy Watches, Regular Watches

Some folks, they like to collect these things. Watches, I mean. They spend a whole heap of money on ’em. I don’t rightly understand it, but to each their own, I always say. A good watch tells the time, that’s all that matters to me.

That one movie, “Sneakers,” I think it was called. He had a Seiko on in that one, too. A chronograph, they called it. Lots of buttons and dials. Looked complicated to me. But then again, I ain’t never been one for them fancy gadgets.

Those Old Movie Stars

Back in the day, them movie stars, they had style. Like that Steve McQueen fella. He was a looker, that one. Just like Robert Redford. They don’t make ’em like that anymore.

Anyways, that Robert Redford wrist watch, that red Rolex, he wore it all the time back in the 70s. ‘Cept for that one time, when he wore that Seiko. But mostly, it was that Rolex.

That’s All I Know

Well, that’s all I know about Robert Redford and his watches. He likes ’em, that’s for sure. And he ain’t afraid to wear ’em, even when he’s pretendin’ to be a spy or a sailor lost at sea. A good watch, it’s like a good friend, I suppose. Always there, always reliable.

I reckon even a movie star needs to know what time it is. And Robert Redford wrist watch is not that cheap. He seems he is rich enough to have lots of them. But I don’t know why he needs so many. Maybe he just like it. It is not my business to know that after all.
