Howdy folks! Let’s gab a bit about this here… watch, the Tudor Black Bay 54, and especially that “lug to lug” thingamajig. Now, I ain’t no fancy watch expert, ya hear? I’m just a plain ol’ gal, but I know what I like and what feels right on my wrist.

So, what’s this “lug to lug” fuss all about? Well, from what I gather, it’s how long the watch is from one end of them strap-holder thingies to the other. They call ’em lugs, I reckon. This here Black Bay 54, they say it’s 46mm from lug to lug. Now, that don’t mean much to me on its own, but they say it’s kinda smallish, which is good. Means it should fit on most folks’ wrists, big or small.
I tell ya, some of them watches these days are just too darn big. Like wearin’ a dinner plate on your arm! This one, though, it seems just right. Not too big, not too small. Like Goldilocks and the porridge, you know? Just right.
This here watch, the Black Bay 54, it’s also 37mm across, they say. That’s the round part, the face, I guess. And it’s about 11mm thick. Again, don’t mean much to me, but they say it’s a good size. Not clunky or heavy, just sits nice on your wrist.
Now, I’ve seen some watches, they look real fancy, but when you try ’em on, they just don’t feel right. Too heavy, too bulky, or they just sit funny. This one, from what I hear, it’s comfy. And that’s important, ain’t it? You don’t want a watch that’s gonna be botherin’ you all day long.
- Size Matters: Like I said, 46mm lug to lug and 37mm across. Means it should fit most folks.
- Not Too Thick: 11mm thick, so it ain’t gonna be bumpin’ into everything.
- Comfy to Wear: They say it sits real nice on your wrist, which is a big plus in my book.
They also talk about the crown, that little knob you twist to set the time. Some watches, the crown is stiff and hard to turn. But this one, they say it’s smooth and easy. That’s good, ’cause nobody wants to wrestle with their watch just to set the time.

This here Black Bay 54, it ain’t the first of its kind, ya know. Tudor, they made some bigger ones before, 41mm they say. But folks, they like smaller watches now, so Tudor, they made this one. Smart move, I reckon. Gotta give the folks what they want!
And speaking of straps, you can change ’em out on this watch. Leather, metal, whatever you fancy. That’s nice, ’cause sometimes you wanna dress it up, sometimes you wanna keep it casual.
Why’s all this important? Well, if you’re gonna spend your hard-earned money on a watch, you want it to fit right, feel right, and look good. This here Black Bay 54, it seems to tick all them boxes. It’s a good size, comfy to wear, and it looks pretty darn sharp, from what I’ve seen in them pictures.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ this is the watch for everyone. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ that’s not too big, not too small, and just right, then this here Tudor Black Bay 54 might be worth a look. Just remember, it’s the feel that matters most. Gotta try it on and see if it feels right on your own wrist.
So, there ya have it. My two cents on this here Tudor Black Bay 54 and that lug to lug business. Hope it helped ya some. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens.
