Okay, let’s talk about tightline eyeliner today. You know, I’ve been trying out different makeup techniques lately, and this one really caught my eye, literally! So, I thought I’d share my experience with y’all.

Getting Started
First off, I had to figure out what kind of eyeliner to use. I read online that a lot of people like those twist-up pencil liners ’cause they’re thin and good for getting between your lashes. And yeah, it’s gotta be waterproof, ’cause who wants raccoon eyes, right? I ended up going with the L’Oréal Paris Never Fail Infallible Eyeliner in Carbon Black. The name’s a mouthful, but it sounded promising.
The Experiment
So, armed with my new eyeliner, I sat down in front of the mirror. I started by gently lifting my upper eyelid to expose the waterline. Man, it felt weird at first, poking around so close to my eyeball! But I took a deep breath and started carefully applying the liner. I tried to get it as close to the lash roots as possible, like literally in between each lash. It took a bit of practice, ngl. I messed up a few times and had to clean up with a Q-tip.
This is what I did:
- Lift: Gently lifted my upper eyelid to expose the upper waterline.
- Apply: Carefully applied the eyeliner to the waterline, wiggling it between the lashes.
- Repeat: Worked my way along the entire upper lash line.
- Check: Made sure there were no gaps and the line was even.
The Results
After a few tries, I finally got the hang of it. And let me tell you, the difference was noticeable! My lashes looked way fuller and darker, but it was still subtle, you know? It’s like, my eyes popped without looking like I had a ton of makeup on. That’s exactly what I was going for. I was pretty stoked with how it turned out. It’s definitely a technique I’ll be using again, especially when I want a more natural, everyday look.
It’s not rocket science, but it does take a little patience. If you’re thinking about trying it, just remember to be careful and take your time. And don’t be afraid to mess up – that’s how you learn, right? Anyway, that’s my tightlining adventure. Hope it was helpful!
