Okay, so today I wanted to talk about my little adventure with the Ulta fragrance sets. You know, those little boxes with a bunch of sample-sized perfumes and a voucher for a full-size bottle? Yeah, those things.
First off, I walked into Ulta, you know, just browsing around, not really planning to buy anything. But then, as always, I ended up in the fragrance section. They had these sets displayed all pretty and tempting. I picked one up, it had like 7 or 8 different mini perfumes in it. I thought, “Hey, this is a cool way to try out some new scents without committing to a big bottle.”
- Sniffed each one, some were nice, some were… not so much for me.
- I noticed they were mostly ones that I got as free samples before.
- But hey, there was this one from Ariana Grande, which I hadn’t tried before, so that was a plus.
The tricky part is the voucher. So, you pay like $35 for the set, and supposedly, you’re getting $45 worth of perfume. But, here’s the catch, to use that voucher, you gotta spend at least another $35. So in total, you are spending way more money. It is not friendly to my wallet at all. I feel like I got tricked by the marketing.
My Realization
After I got home, I did some thinking, and honestly, I realized I probably wouldn’t have bought the set if it wasn’t for the whole voucher thing. It felt like a good deal at the time, but now, not so much. I mean, those tiny bottles are cute and all, but are they really worth it? I started to doubt that. Also, fragrance prices are crazy these days! These tiny bottles just don’t seem worth the money to me.
So, yeah, that’s my story about the Ulta fragrance set. It was a bit of a learning experience, I guess. Next time, I’ll probably just stick to sniffing the testers and maybe just buy a full-size bottle of something I really love. Or, you know, just enjoy those free samples they give out. Those are always nice, right?
Anyone else had a similar experience? Or maybe you love these sets? Let me know, I’m curious to hear what you guys think!
