Okay, so I wanted to check out this Tony Hinchcliffe guy. I kept hearing about him, mostly people talking about his podcast, Kill Tony. Sounded interesting enough, you know? So, I decided to dig in and see what the fuss was all about.
First, I started poking around online. Found a subreddit, r/KillTony, which is basically a hangout for fans of the podcast. It seems like this Kill Tony thing is a live show, recorded at some place called the Comedy Mothership in Austin, Texas. Tony Hinchcliffe hosts it with a dude named Brian Redban. People on the subreddit were chatting about the episodes and all that, so I figured that was a good place to start.
Next, I did a search for any stand-up stuff from Tony. I found out that he does stand-up before the podcast. And people were even asking if they could record his shows. It looks like he does, so I kept this in mind.
Then, I stumbled upon some info about a delay in the episodes. Apparently, they taped a bunch of them in advance, and there’s like a five-week delay between the live stream and when they drop on YouTube. Made a note of that. That’s why I need to watch it and not read about it, like some folks suggested.
I also saw that Tony has a pretty decent following on social media. Thousands of likes and comments on his posts. And there’s even a page about him, where people talk about his career, life, and all the drama around him. Seems like he’s a pretty big deal in the comedy world.
So, I grabbed some videos of his podcast and stand-up. The podcast is pretty wild. They have people come up from the audience and do stand-up, and then Tony and his guests give them feedback. It’s kind of brutal but also hilarious.
Here’s what I did to watch:
- Searched online: Started by looking for Tony Hinchcliffe and Kill Tony on the internet.
- Found the subreddit: Checked out the r/KillTony subreddit to get a feel for the show and the community.
- Looked for stand-up: Found some of Tony’s stand-up performances online.
- Read about the delay: Noted that there’s a delay between the live stream and the YouTube release.
- Checked social media: Saw that Tony has a big following on social media.
- Watched some episodes: Finally, I watched a few episodes of Kill Tony and some of his stand-up.
In the end, I watched a good amount of his stuff. His stand-up is pretty edgy, but I can see why people like him. He’s got this confident, almost arrogant style that’s kind of magnetic. I guess I did it.
Overall, it was a fun little adventure. I got to explore the world of Tony Hinchcliffe and Kill Tony, and I definitely see the appeal. It’s raw, unfiltered comedy, and Tony’s definitely a character. I’m glad I checked it out.
