Okay, so I saw this thing online about what cologne Keith Urban wears, and I got curious. You know, Keith Urban, the country singer? Yeah, that guy. I always think he smells pretty good in the pictures, so I wanted to see if I could smell like him too.

First, I did a little digging on the internet. I mean, who wouldn’t, right? I found a few websites talking about it. It wasn’t like a big secret or anything, which is cool. One of them called “Fragrance Familia” and other name is “The Perfume Girl” – they both had some info.
Then it was mentioned that Keith Urban’s own fragrance, “Phoenix,” was launched in 2011, and it’s a leather scent, with blackberry notes, crafted by Loc Dong, a perfumer. So, I thought, let’s start with that! I went to a couple of stores, you know, the usual places where they sell perfumes and stuff. It wasn’t super easy to find, but I finally tracked it down at a department store.
I sprayed a little on my wrist, and it was pretty strong at first. Very… leathery, I guess? Like a new car or a fancy jacket. After a while, it settled down a bit, and I could smell the blackberry, which was nice. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really my style. Too intense for me, maybe.
- Searched online for what cologne Keith Urban wears.
- Found out about his own fragrance, “Phoenix.”
- Went to stores to try and find it.
- Finally found it and tried it on.
- Decided it wasn’t really for me.
Here’s what I did:
But the online stuff mentioned other colognes too. This one from Penhaligon’s, that was launched in 2005 with top notes of pepper, Yuzu, and coriander, middle notes of rose, cinnamon, and incense. Seemed interesting.
Back to the store again! I found this one a bit easier, surprisingly. I sprayed some on, and wow, it was different. Spicy, but also kind of fresh. I could definitely smell the pepper and something citrusy, probably the Yuzu. I really liked the rose and cinnamon middle notes, which is more refreshing. It felt more… sophisticated? I don’t know, it just smelled good to me, and I ended up buying a bottle.

So, yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of Keith Urban’s cologne. I didn’t end up smelling like him, I guess, since his own fragrance wasn’t my thing. But I discovered a new cologne that I really like! So, it was a win after all.
Maybe I’ll try some other scents he’s been linked to in the future. Who knows? It’s kind of fun to try new things, even if it’s just a different smell. It’s like a little adventure, right in the perfume aisle.
