Okay, so I wanted to dive into Sarah J. Maas’s books, but honestly, I got a bit lost at first. I mean, she’s got, like, three different series, and each one has a bunch of books. I spent a good chunk of time just figuring out where to even begin!
First off, I started looking around online. There’re tons of people talking about her books, especially on BookTok, apparently. I dug through some articles and blog posts, trying to make sense of it all. It felt a little like falling down a rabbit hole, you know?
After a while, I realized that even though Throne of Glass was published first, it’s not necessarily the best starting point. Weird, right? So, I had to make a decision. I went with the A Court of Thorns and Roses series to start. It seemed like a good introduction to her writing style without being too overwhelming.
I got through the first book, and I was hooked! I mean, the characters, the world, the romance – it all just pulled me in. So, I kept going with that series, reading each book one after another.
- A Court of Thorns and Roses
- A Court of Mist and Fury
- A Court of Wings and Ruin
- A Court of Frost and Starlight
- A Court of Silver Flames
Then, I finally moved on to Throne of Glass. I’d heard it gets really epic, and it didn’t disappoint. There are seven books, but I read the prequel (The Assassin’s Blade) after the third, and it worked well for me.
My reading order for this series was:
- Throne of Glass
- Crown of Midnight
- Heir of Fire
- The Assassin’s Blade
- Queen of Shadows
- Empire of Storms
- Tower of Dawn
- Kingdom of Ash
Finally, I got to her newest series, Crescent City. It’s a bit different from the others – more urban fantasy, I guess. But it’s still got that signature Sarah J. Maas magic. I’ve read both of them, and I can’t wait for the next one.
My reading order for this series was:
- House of Earth and Blood
- House of Sky and Breath
So yeah, that’s my journey through Sarah J. Maas’s books. It took a while, but it was totally worth it. I feel like I’ve explored these amazing worlds and met some unforgettable characters. Now, I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
