Man, I gotta tell you guys about this whole journey I went on trying to figure out when these Jordan Retro 17s were dropping. I’m not gonna lie, it was a bit of a rollercoaster, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?

So, it all started when I saw some buzz online about the Air Jordan 17 Low “UNC”. I’ve always been a sucker for those classic colorways, and the “UNC” is just iconic. I knew I had to have them, but the release date was a mystery. Some folks were saying one thing, some another. It was all over the place.
I started digging around, hitting up all the usual spots – you know, sneaker blogs, forums, the whole nine yards. I even tried to do some detective work on this one site. But honestly, it felt like I was getting nowhere. It was all just rumors and speculation. Nothing concrete.
Then, I remembered something I read a long time ago – the first Air Jordan was produced for Michael Jordan on November 17, 1984, and released to the public on April 1. This got me thinking, maybe there’s a pattern to these releases?
I started checking out release date pages, trying to see if I could spot any trends. And then, there it was! The Air Jordan 17 Low “UNC” is expected to drop on August 28, 2024, via that big shoe company’s site and select retailers. It’s gonna cost me 300 bucks, but I think it’s gonna be worth it.
- The “Black/Chrome” Air Jordan 17 Low was one of three original colorways released way back in 2002.
- The Air Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined” is supposed to release on February 17, 2024. Something about a “Reimagined” series, whatever that means.
- There were also these other two colorways, “Lightning” and “University Blue,” that came out in ’24 and people seemed to go crazy for them.
Here’s what I found out:
So yeah, that’s my story. I finally cracked the code and figured out when those sweet Jordan Retro 17s are dropping. It took some effort, but it’s all good. Now I just gotta be patient and wait for August 28th to roll around. Wish me luck, guys!
