Then I started looking for places to actually see these watches. There’s this website called Grailzee, where they sell authenticated George Daniels watches. You can find some of his famous pieces there, like the Millennium Watch or the Anniversary. It’s pretty cool to see them, even if it’s just pictures.
I also checked out eBay, and they had a bunch of listings for George Daniels watches. You can find different brands that use his movements, or even some of his original pocket watches. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but if you’re really into it, you can probably find something interesting.
Then there’s a book, “Watchmaking” by George Daniels. It is said to be really worth it to buy it, but it’s not cheap! I’m still on the fence about getting it, but it might be worth it if you want to learn more about his techniques. Some folks online say it’s the bible for watchmakers. So, I think I might give it a shot.
Here’s something I’m still trying to figure out: how much are these watches actually worth? I mean, they’re super rare and made by a legend, so they must be expensive, right? But how expensive?
