Well, today I wanted to mess around with some Trolls stuff, you know, those little guys with the crazy hair. I was feeling crafty and thought, “Why not make a glitter Troll?” It sounded like a blast, and I was itching to get my hands dirty with some glitter and glue.

First off, I went digging around for some Trolls toys. I hit up a Target ’cause I remembered seeing a bunch of Trolls merch there. Sure enough, they had a ton of options. I saw some headphones, a “Fun Fair Surprise Fairfest” thing, and a bunch of other random stuff. But I was on a mission for a specific kind of Troll, so I kept looking.

Then I stumbled upon this “DreamWorks Trolls World Tour Tiny Diamond Doll” and thought, “That’s the one!” It looked perfect for what I had in mind. I also grabbed a few other things that caught my eye, like some vintage collectible figure packs. You never know when those might come in handy, right?

Next, I needed glitter, and lots of it. I checked out a few online shops specializing in unique, handmade dolls. They had some crazy expensive stuff, like a wool toy going for $330! But I also found some more reasonably priced items, like glitter confetti and shaped glitter, which seemed more up my alley.

With my supplies gathered, I started working on my glitter Troll. I took the Tiny Diamond doll and got to work covering it in glue. This was the messy part, but also the most fun. Once the glue was on, I went to town with the silver glitter, making sure every inch of that little guy was sparkling. I even added some extra shiny stuff to his hair to give it that metallic look I read about.

While I was at it, I decided to customize a few other Trolls I had lying around. I found some elephant and reindeer-shaped ones and thought, “Why not?” I used different colors of glitter on them, just to mix things up. It was a bit time-consuming, but totally worth it to see them all shiny and new.

The Final Sparkle

After all the glitter had settled (literally), I had a whole crew of custom glitter Trolls. They looked awesome, if I do say so myself. The Tiny Diamond one was definitely the star of the show, with his silver skin and metallic hair. But the others were pretty cool too, each with their own unique sparkle.

It was a fun little project, and it really brought out the kid in me. Plus, now I have a bunch of unique Trolls to add to my collection. Who knows, maybe they’ll be worth something someday, like those old mini-Dam monkey troll dolls or the Dark Horse glitter trolls from the ’90s. But even if they’re not, they’re still pretty cool to look at.
