Today I wanna share a fun little project I got into – making my own Deadpool shoes! Yeah, the merc with a mouth, on my feet.

Getting Started
First off, I grabbed a pair of plain red high-top canvas shoes. You know, the cheap kind you can find anywhere. I figured these would be my best bet since I was gonna paint over them anyway.
The Design
Next, I started sketching out the design. Deadpool’s mask is pretty iconic, so I wanted to make sure I got those black eye patches right. I drew some rough outlines on paper first, just to get a feel for the placement and size.
Painting Time
- I mixed up some black fabric paint – had to make sure it wouldn’t crack when I walked.
- Then, carefully, I outlined the eye patches on the shoes with a pencil.
- Once I was happy with the shapes, I started filling them in with the black paint. It took a couple of coats to get it nice and solid.
- I waited for a day for the black part to dry out.
Details, Details
After the black paint was completely dry, I added a few little details. I used a tiny brush to paint on some white highlights in the eyes, to give them that comic book look. I also outlined the black patches with a thin white line, just to make them pop a bit more.
Finishing Touches
Finally, I sprayed the whole thing with a fabric sealant, to protect the paint from scuffs and scratches. I mean, I’m planning on wearing these bad boys, not just displaying them!
The Result
And there you have it, my very own custom Deadpool shoes! They’re not perfect, a little rough around the edges maybe, but I’m pretty stoked with how they turned out. It was a fun weekend project, and now I get to walk around with a little bit of superhero awesomeness on my feet. I’m planning to wear them to the next comic con. Hope it won’t rain that day!
