Today, I wanted to see if my new watch was really water-resistant up to 50 meters like it said on the box. I mean, who really goes 50 meters deep anyway? But it’s good to know, right?

First, I filled up my kitchen sink with water. It’s not exactly the ocean, but it’s a start. I made sure the watch’s crown was screwed down tight. You know, just in case.
I gently put my watch into the water and started to move it around and splash it. It didn’t get too crazy, but I wanted to make sure it’s getting wet.
After that, I took a shower while wearing it. I know, I know, 50 meters is way deeper than a shower, but I wanted to see if it could handle the water pressure and the soap. It’s like a mini test, right?
- Passed with flying colors! No water got inside.
Results after kitchen sink test:
- Still ticking! And no signs of water damage.
Results after shower test:
Feeling a bit more confident, I decided to take it to the next level: a swim at the local pool. Now, this pool isn’t 50 meters deep, maybe 2 or 3 meters. I jumped in, swam a few laps, and even did a few little dives to the bottom.
- No problems at all! The watch was totally fine.
Results after swimming:
So, based on my highly unscientific tests, I’d say this watch lives up to its 50-meter water resistance claim. At least for everyday stuff like washing hands, showering, and a casual swim, it seems pretty solid. I wouldn’t go scuba diving with it, but for normal life, it’s good to go!
Keep in mind, I’m no expert, just a regular guy with a new watch. I just wanted to share my little experiment. Always check your watch’s instructions and be careful, okay? Don’t go blaming me if your watch floods!
