They don’t have that fold thingy, you know, that line that makes the eyelid look like it’s in two pieces. Mrs. Wang’s daughter, she’s got those eyes.
Some folks say that almond eyes Asian are common. I see a lot of people with those eyes, especially people from China, Japan, and Korea, like I said before, Mrs. Wang and her family. They say you can see those eyes everywhere, not just on Asian people. And people also say that it looks like the shape of an almond.
People from the West, they like to say that Asian eyes look like almonds. I don’t know why they say that, maybe ’cause almonds are long and pointy? Maybe, maybe not, I don’t know.
They also say that people with those almond eyes are good people. They got a good heart, you know? They care about others. They like to help. Just like Mrs. Wang, she always brings me some food when she cooks too much. Real kind, that one.
But you know, some folks just talk about the shape of the eyes, like it’s a big deal. I don’t know why people care so much about how someone’s eyes look. Eyes are eyes, right? They help you see, that’s the important thing.
I heard someone talking about some TV lady, Julie Chen I think, she got surgery to make her eyes look different. Less Chinese, they said. Don’t know why she did that. Her eyes looked fine to me. People are strange, I tell ya.
