Hey everyone, today I want to talk about something I’ve been messing around with lately – it’s called “Octobuddy”.
So, I saw this thing online, this “Octobuddy” thing. It’s basically a little square, kinda like a sticky note, but covered in these tiny suction cups. The idea is you stick it on the back of your phone or your phone case, and then you can slap your phone onto any smooth surface. Think mirrors, windows, that kind of thing. I thought, “Hmm, that’s pretty neat for taking selfies or making videos without needing someone to hold your phone.”
First thing I did was order one online. It wasn’t that expensive. When it arrived, it was just this little square thing with a bunch of tiny suction cups on one side and a sticky film on the other. The instructions were simple: clean the back of your phone and the surface you want to stick it to, then just press it on. Sounds easy enough, right?
I cleaned the back of my phone case – just wiped it down to make sure there wasn’t any dust or anything. Then I peeled off the protective layer from the Octobuddy and stuck it onto my case. It felt pretty secure. I pressed it on firmly, just to make sure it was really on there. Then came the test. I went to my bathroom mirror, cleaned a spot, and tried to stick my phone on it. And guess what? It worked! My phone was just hanging there on the mirror, like magic.
I played around with it a bit, sticking my phone to different surfaces. It worked on my window, on the tiles in my shower, even on the fridge door. I did notice that it worked best on really smooth surfaces, like glass. If the surface was even a little bit textured, it wouldn’t hold as well.
Now, here’s a little hiccup I ran into. Once you stick the Octobuddy on, it’s pretty hard to take off. It’s meant to be kind of permanent, I guess. I tried to peel it off my case, and it was a bit of a struggle. I eventually got it off, but it left a bit of a sticky residue. So, just be aware, it’s not something you can easily remove and put back on whenever you want.
- First, I ordered the Octobuddy online.
- Then, I cleaned my phone case and stuck the Octobuddy on it.
- Next, I tested it on various surfaces like mirrors and windows.
- I found that it works best on smooth, clean surfaces.
- I realized that removing it can be tough and might leave a residue.
Overall, I’d say the Octobuddy is a cool little gadget if you’re into taking hands-free photos or videos. Just remember, it’s more of a one-time application thing.
If you do decide to get one, here are some tips:
- Make sure both your phone and the surface are clean.
- Press it on firmly to get a good grip.
- Don’t expect to take it off and put it back on easily.
Anyway, that’s my experience with the Octobuddy. It’s a fun little tool, just with a few quirks. If you’ve tried it, let me know what you think!
