Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Hermes scarves lately, especially the 90cm ones. They’re just so gorgeous and versatile, but also kinda tricky to figure out. I mean, how do you even start with these things? So, I decided to take the plunge and actually learn how to wear them. Here’s what went down.

How to Wear Hermes Scarf 90: Simple Ways to Tie and Style Your Scarf Like a Pro

First, I grabbed my favorite 90cm scarf – it’s this beautiful blue and gold one with a horse carriage design. I love it. Then, I went online to learn how to wear it. I decided to try the classic knot first because it seemed like a good starting point, you know?

I laid the scarf flat on my bed and folded it in half diagonally. This created a triangle shape, just like I’d seen in the pictures. Seemed simple enough, right?

  • Step 1: Fold the scarf in half diagonally to make a triangle.
  • Step 2: I had to hold the triangle with the long edge in front of me.
  • Step 3: Bring the two ends around the neck.
  • Step 4: Tie them into a loose knot at the front.

So far, so good! I draped the long point of the triangle over my chest, trying to make it look as effortless as those fancy models do. I mean, I don’t have people styling me, so I’m doing this all by myself, you know? Next, I took the two ends of the scarf and brought them around my neck, like I was wrapping a present or something. I crossed them over at the back and then brought them back to the front. This was feeling kinda awkward, but I was determined.

Here comes the tricky part. I tied the two ends together in a knot at the front. I tried to make it a nice, neat knot, but it definitely wasn’t perfect on the first try. It took a few attempts to get the knot to sit right and not look too bulky. I had to keep adjusting it, pulling it tighter, loosening it, and then retying it again. You know how it goes when you’re trying something new, it is not going to be a perfect process in the beginning.

Finally, I got a knot I was kinda happy with. It wasn’t too tight, but it wasn’t falling apart either. I fluffed out the scarf a bit to give it some volume and adjusted the triangle part in the front until it looked somewhat presentable. I even tried tucking the ends of the knot under the triangle part to make it look cleaner. Practice is a must!

The Result

Okay, so it wasn’t exactly like the pictures, but I think it turned out pretty good for a first attempt! It definitely felt more elevated than my usual t-shirt and jeans look. I even wore it out to brunch with my friends, and they actually complimented me on it! That’s a win in my book. I’m definitely going to keep practicing this classic knot, and maybe even try some other styles eventually. It is just so much fun!
