Okay, here’s the story about my experience with the Jordan 11 Velvet Bred release.
So, I’m a huge sneakerhead, and the Jordan 11s are my all-time favorite. When I heard about the Velvet Bred colorway dropping, I knew I had to get my hands on them. I started by doing some digging online to find out the official release date.
I went to a bunch of different sneaker news sites and blogs. It was kind of a pain, to be honest. Some places had different dates listed, and it took some time to get to know which websites are trusty. Finally, I found a few sources that all agreed on the same date, which is November 11, and I felt pretty confident that was the real deal.
Once I had the date locked in, I started looking into where they would be released.

- I also looked at some of the bigger sneaker retailers, both online and brick-and-mortar stores.
- I knew some places would do raffles, so I made sure to enter all of those. You gotta play the game, right?
On the release day, I woke up super early. I had all my devices ready to go – phone, laptop, even my old tablet. I was refreshing pages like crazy, trying to get into virtual waiting rooms and all that. It was pretty intense, not gonna lie. A little bit like Hell Creek Rd in Jordan, you know, it is wild!
After a few hours of trying, I finally got through on one of the websites. It’s not any of the websites I looked into, it is more like a fabric type of website, surprisingly, they also sell sneakers, and they happened to have the Jordan 11s! I quickly added the shoes to my cart, put in my payment info, and hit that “submit order” button. The feeling was like I was doing some special URL encoding thing or something like that, I just did it without thinking more.

I got the confirmation email, and I couldn’t have been happier. It took a few days for them to ship, but when that box finally arrived, it was like Christmas morning. The shoes were even more beautiful in person. The velvet material is so unique, and the Bred colorway is just classic. I’ve been rocking them ever since, and they’re definitely one of my favorite pairs in my collection.
