Okay, so, I’ve been totally obsessed with Kate Middleton’s style lately, right? And I saw this picture of her in this amazing purple dress at Wimbledon. I just had to figure out everything about it.

First off, I started digging around to find out who designed it. Turns out, it was this brand called Safiyaa. I’d never heard of them before, but apparently, Kate’s worn their stuff quite a few times. She seems to love supporting British designers, which is pretty cool.
Then, I got curious about the color. Why purple? It looked so regal and elegant. I did some more research and found out that purple is often associated with royalty and symbolism. Makes sense, she is a princess after all!
This dress had some interesting details. It was called the ‘Ahana’ style from another British brand, Beulah. She’d worn it once before at Wimbledon in 2021. I love that she recycles outfits. I mean, it saves the environment, and shows that even princesses aren’t always about brand new stuff all the time. She’s always been a big fan of re-wearing clothes. She sometimes even modifies them to make them seem new. I remember reading somewhere that Princess Diana did that too with some of her evening gowns! Very cool and practical, and probably saves a ton of money.
How does she afford all these clothes?
That’s what I was wondering too! Apparently, King Charles gives her money from the Duchy of Cornwall to buy clothes. I tried to find out exactly how much, but that info is kept pretty secret. There was this one report from way back in 2012 saying she spent like 55,000 on clothes that year. Wow!
- Digging deeper: I wanted to know more about the ‘Ahana’ dress.
- Puff Shoulders: It had these cute puff shoulders, which added a bit of drama.
- Flowy Skirt: The skirt was A-line and flowed really nicely when she moved.
So yeah, that’s my little deep dive into Kate Middleton’s purple dress. It was a fun little investigation, and I learned a lot about her style, the designer, and even a bit about royal fashion budgets. I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for what she wears next!
